DS1 and DS2 are 22 months apart and it's been terrific. Three years between 2 and 3 and while I'd say it's a bit too long a gap, at least there was some breathing space in between.

I have a 20 months gap between my two. Having had 2 close together, I would choose to have a bigger age gap if we do try for a 3rd.

I have a 2 year gap and a 3 year gap. I found the 3 year gap much easier but that could be because I went from having 1 to 2 and the 2 year gap 2 to 3.

7 yrs between 1 and 2
2 yr 4m between 2 and 3

7yrs was too long, as the oldest was starting to be easier and gain independence I had a baby.
2yr 4m fantastic, not so close that the nappies and bottles overlapped but close enough that they can still interact at a similar level and enjoy similar things without the lower attention span of the younger spoiling it for the older. It might be that they enjoy each others company and get on well (which 1&2 didn't) as well as them both being girls and liking pink, frilly, girly stuff. #1 was a boy and didn't want his little sister touching his small bits Lego and Pokemon etc and all she wanted to do was stuff his things in a bag/pushchair and cart it around which irritated him as he hadn't had to share like that before.

I had 2 years between 1 and 2 and it was good. Only thing that would have made it better was if number 1 was toilet trained.
We are ttcing number 3 and depending on how long it takes there will be a 2.5-3 year gap. Wanted a slightly bigger gap than with the first two.

there is 4.5 yrs between 1 and 2

16 months between no.2 and 3

i prefered the 16 mth age gap... now they are 9 and 10.. it was abit hard at times but i liked it better

2 years 5 months between 2 and 3

Both were fairly easy though having my third was probably slightly easier because the other two could occupy each other.

14 months between 1&2 which is awesome now they are 5&6, hard at first but worth it now.
Then a big gap of nearly 4 years to #3 and a quick one again to #4 (since I enjoyed the first pair so much!), we wanted closer than we got, but ended up with 19 months between 3&4 after two miscarriages. I'd like to go again, but hubby says no. So am enjoying this last baby as much as I can (#4 now 6 weeks old).

I have 2 years 5 months between 1 & 2, 11 years 6 months between 2 & 3 and 3 minutes between 3 & 4. DP has 23 years between 1 & 2.

I've just rolled with each parenting incarnation this ride has thrown up but I did like 2 years 5 months but I think it depends on the personalities of the children involved
