I don't really drink coffee. I might have one if I go out with a friend or having a bad day and need a pick up, but thats pretty much it.

I really feel its now getting to the point where you are expected to have a coffee machine (or maybe its just my friends cool.gif ) at home. Now, seeing as I don't drink coffee, i don't see the need for a machine. I do have instant for anyone visiting who might like a coffee, but that is regularly getting noses turned up at it.

So, do you expect machine coffee when you visit or is instant ok?

Anything in a clean cup suits me. Even tap water is just fine.

I drink instant if I have to. It can in no way compare to real coffee though. But, having said that, I would never expect a friend who was not a coffee drinker to own a coffee machine huh.gif If I'm realllly honest, whether or not I'd drink an instant would also depend on the brand. Some are even more hideous than others!

In short no I do not expect a coffee machine when visiting.

Although I would like a real cup of coffee instead of that instant crap that DH makes me of a morning, ph34r.gif he is after all standing right next to the coffee machine.... oh well its the thought that counts

Ignorance is not a point of view.
DH is a coffee snob. We have a machine at home. I don't drink coffee.

At work, for customers, we have the Robert Timms Coffee Bags if people want a "proper coffee". A lot of people comment on how nice they are.

I dont drink coffee either, so as DH is the only one, I would never entertain the idea of buying a coffee machine. I feel it would be a complete waste of money.

On the rare occasions we get visitors, if they want coffee they have to make do with instant, I have never had anyone complain yet. In fact I don't know of anyone who has a coffee machine.....

Instant is an ok hot beverage if you don't think of it as coffee, and it's drowned in milk and sugar... I wouldn't expect to a coffeemachine in a non-coffee-drinker's house, instant is a perfectly acceptable alternative. But if you care enough and get semi-regular visits from snobbish coffee drinkers, buy a cheap plunger.

I'm a dedicated instant coffee drinker. People know that there's one choice when visiting me: Instant.
