Hi Ladies,

Hope I'm posting this in the right section - I'm just after a bit of help with choosing a baby magazine for something. ..

I run a baby hammock business and am looking to advertise in one of the many baby magazines that are in the shops.
But, not having 'used' one myself for a while, I'm really keen to get some feedback as to which magazines people are most likely to turn to when looking for ideas of baby related products to purchase.

...
Any feedback would be gratefully received original.gif

TIA, Kay.

I never looked in any, I just looked in shop catalogues if I was looking for anything.

Practical Parenting is a good one.

They are often found near the checkouts of Coles and Woolies too, so good placement.

I bought Cosmo Pregnancy last week.... I thought that mag was alright. Lots of articles.

Honestly though, I have been steering clear of all the mags as I had friends give me a couple and with all the ads I got overwhelmed with all the stuff you can buy, and I was starting to panic thinking I needed this item and that item - so I threw them all out......

I know that doesn't help you much since you are trying to sell something......

Like PPs I dont use magazines at all. I do research on the net and look at catalogues from baby stores. If you wanted to reach me as a small business you would need to be on Etsy, which I LOVE for kids things, or sell at something like the Perth UpMarket (in the kids section or the regular section).

I would definately recommend boutique markets/fleamarkets.
I've always read practical parenting but would only read a 1/2 - full page ad rather than a really small ad at the back of the magazine. Could you donate one to them for a trial and ask them to write an advertorial? Definately use google adwords.

Practical Parenting is probably the most popular, but My Child perhaps the highest quality.
