This is going to sound ridiculous but I'm starting to get a little worried about DS, he has been asleep for over three hours now after I put him down for his nap.

He went to sleep about 11.40 in the car and transferred to the cot without waking once we got home. He did wake at 12.20 and after a couple of minutes of unsuccessful settling gave him a feed (this was definitely what he was after) but he went back to sleep during the feed very quickly.

He hasn't stirred since. He can sleep for 2 hours in the morning but has never gone longer.

He seemed fine this morning not unwell or anything. I might take his temp when he wakes just to make sure.

Tell me I'm just worrying for no reason, part of me wants to wake him just to make me feel better but I also don't want to wake him if he needs the sleep.

This probably sounds ridiculous but he's just never done this before, he's not the best sleeper.

My 12 mth old rarely sleeps more than an hour during the day and it's now up to 3! I think it's the dark dreary weather.

I think it is just your lucky day! I would probably sneak in and watch his chest moving up and down and listen to his breathing because I'm a bit of a paranoid parent! If he is the type that isn't easily woken I might lightly feel his forehead to make sure it wasn't too warm and then I would do the sneaky sneak back out of there.
Whatever you do DON'T and I repeat DON'T make a cuppa - he will definitely wake then, they always know when you sit down with a cuppa!!!It will be the end of your peace and quiet wink.gif

Yes I've been doing the sneak in watch his chest sneak out again, I'm paranoid too and do it regularly when he sleeps.

Anyway I didn't make a cuppa but I did sit on the couch and turn the tv on and he woke up 30 seconds later roll2.gif I think it was the cat that woke him though, sitting at the door way to his room and scratching at his new collar, making the bell ring so who knows how long he would have slept otherwise.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only paranoid one though.
