I am looking for ideas for my daughters Birthday in May.
I know I am early but like to get my ideas sorted well in advance.

So far I have done a cupcake decorating party (4th) and a sand art craft party (5th).
I am hoping to outsource this one to save some money and actually have time to enjoy her party.
I always spend lots of money and time getting it organised so taking a year off.

Any ideas?

I am in NW Sydney.

Just about all the girls in my sons yr 1 class seem to have had AMF bowling parties this year.
They have actually been pretty fun - and that is coming from someone that hates bowling original.gif

I did a circus-theme party... but jeez, it was a PITA and was a lot of effort.

This year, her 7th, I'll be paying a venue... not HJs as everyone here seems to do, but maybe bowling, or skating or a play-centre or something. Then all I have to do is hand over money and show up.

ETA - if we lived closer, we'd hold it at hte Plaster Fun House. They might have one out your way. Google will let you know. original.gif

Thanks for the ideas.

My DD is very noise sensitive so bowling is out at this stage.

I was thinking about a disco party but I would then have to provide the venue and food etc....

We haven't started ice skating yet so will hold off with that one for the moment.

I had a roller skating party when I was younger. No rinks around here that I know of.

I am not sure about a play centre one.... Not sure if 6 is too old for that and I am not overly impressed with the Lollipops party.

I like the idea of the plaster fun house so will check it out.
A friend of hers is having a gymnastics party in March so will see how that one goes as well.

Thanks for the ideas.
Please keep them coming. original.gif

If she is noise sensitive, wouldn't a Disco Party or a Roller Skating Party be unpleasant for her?

She has been to a couple of disco's for preschool and with the constant noise she was ok.
She surely makes enough noise at home at times.

It's more noises she is unfamiliar with.

I just thought the noise of the pins being knocked over and balls hitting the floor would be an issue.
I guess time will tell with that one.

DD will be 7 in April and I have already booked an iceskating party. She is SO excited. Like you, I need a year off this year. For 10 little ones, a party room for 2 hours, food, drinks, ice-cream cake and unlimited time on the ice with a skating helper, it's costing us 200.00. Very happy with that price as it was costing me double that to cater for people at our home. I look forward to chilling out and watching a bunch of excited 7 year olds go crazy on the ice!

Good luck with your plans.

BTW they have great walking frames for kids who have not been out on the ice before. They sort of just shuffle around but I'm always amazed at how quickly the kids pick it up.

Have you considered a Lolli-pops Disco Party?

My DS went to one last year and it was a blast. They have a little dance floor and get the kids to dance etc. The kids can also play on the equipment and you can organise catering through their kitchen (they do platters of sarmies/wedges etc).
