Hi all, slightly freaking out here (in a good way) lol, just today and as recently as 20 minutes ago I have lost 2 big blobs of my mucus plug, sorry for the tmi.

What I am wondering is even tho each and everyone of us are different, but how far away was labour for you once you lost your plug?

With my 2 girls I lost them in the morning and had the girls that night.

TIA.

DS2 - lost whole plug in one piece. Waters broke around 24hrs later and labour started about 15 minutes after that.
DD - lost whole plug in one piece around 6am. Waters broke around 10am, labour started pretty much when waters broke.

As no doubt many well reply, it all differs. DS1 was actually during delivery. DS2 I lost it in the morning and had him that night. DS3 I lost it at 38 weeks and had to be induced at 40wk+1 (due to other issues).

I hope for your sake it is sooner than later original.gif

Good luck and how exciting for you.

Has meant labour is imminent with all of mine- within 12-24 hours I was holding baby everytime... Except with dd2 who was induced in which case it was only 2 hours until I was holding her.

I would say your past experience is best gauge of what's most likely to happen.

Good luck- you are still quite early, should you call your ob or hospital?

With DS1 has no idea of such a thing called a mucus plug (yes I know) so I can't say but I was more observant with DS2 and it came out in pieces over a day and it was about 36 hours from start of losing the plug.

Please don't google the images, some really do turn your stomach sad.gif

Yep have called the hospital, they basically told me it is normal to lose it and just to sit tight, I am prone to earlyish labours DD1 was a 36weeker.

I just lost mine in bits during labour, but most probably came away when I had ARM both times.
