Hi ladies, just wondering if you have any advice for me. I've just returned to work and thankfully have a very understanding work place in regards to BF and working. I can express with no dramas (thanks to your previous advice) and only have formula on standby if I don't have enough EBM for her during the day. She's suddenly stopped taking the sippy cup. She was sort of OK with the Heinz branded one, from about 4 months old (having sips here and there) but now pushes it away. I have bought her the Tommee Tippee one and also the Avent one. I have also tried to get her to take a feed from a bottle (Tommee Tippee, Nuk and Avent) with absolutely no luck. She only needs to have one feed per day this way with my mum, but refuses. She eats ok, but has a dry nappy going 5-6 hours without any fluids (even water and juice are refused). I can leave work technically to feed her, but it's a hassle due to the nature of work I do. She's 7.5 months.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

From 8.5 months dd only had milk mixed with food (refused breast, bottle and cup at that age) but it worked, I could keep her hydrated this way.
So how about keep working on the cup with water and get mum to give her a very sloppy ebm drenched meal or 2 to get her through the day. It might be mean less stress for all of you.
All the best.

Thanks Lucky 2 original.gif I'm giving mum some frozen EBM for DD tomorrow & I was thinking of making Popsicles with EBM too; putting EBM in a medicine cup & freezing a dummy in the top of the cup. We'll see how we go. I do remember you saying your child suddenly refused all :/ must have been terrible for you all. It's great you had a solution though.
