This week so far I have read

The Forgotten Affairs of Youth by Alexander McCall Smith. It's one of the Sunday Philosophy Club series which I have read a couple of in the past and didn't enjoy so much but I did like this one.

Bossypants by Tina Fey which made me laughing2.gif

And now I am reading Runemarks by Joanne Harris. Unusual subject for her but she is such a good author I am looking forward to getting into it.

Currently half way through city of dragons by robin hobb.

It's rather enjoyable but I don't think she will ever capture the brilliance of her first six duchies trilogy.

In the last 3 weeks I have read

The Hunger Games
Catching Fire
Mockingjay
Harry Potter 3 (re read)
Circle of Friends (re read I picked up off MIL's shelf when I was stuck at her house one night)
The new Jill Mansell book - a walk in the park I think it's called
The Lucky one (re read, trying to decide if I want to watch the movie)
And another obviously highly memorable book I can't even remember the name of.

It's all light fluff, I haven't had time to sink my teeth into something heavier because I've been working heaps of overtime.

I'm about to visit Amazon to pick out some new books.

Just finished the fifth book of the Fever series. Compelling, yet disturbing.

I'm currently reading Feast for crows, book 4 in the Song of Ice and Fire series, but as another PP said, pesky life and sleep get in the way.
Does anyone else with an e-reader use this thread as a shopping list? As soon as I start reading the posts, I pick up my Kindle and start shopping original.gif

I use these threads for that exact reason.

After perusing this thread and a few others over the last few days and today I went and bought 5 Patricia Cornwell books, the Mothers group, bought 7 of the Undead books off Ebay and bought Fifty Shades of Grey on the Ipad.

Looks like Im set for reading for a while. I am currently reading Lee Childs Books at the moment.

Just finished Fifty shades of grey...which I found ok as a fluffy read but not even slightly realistic.

Also finished The end of everything by megan abbott. I found this book really captivating until about 3/4 of the way through and then it got a bit confusing.... so not a fave either.

Just about to read The Slap....and maybe I will download the sequel to 50 shades....maybe....

"Hell is other people," Jean-Paul Sartre
I just finished Maine by Courtney Sullivan. It started out well but the last act was all over the place and the ending terrible.

Have just started Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan.
