Holiday - girl's name, Just a ponderism.

So I was watching a repeat of Spicks'n'Specks last night and there was a singer on there, name 'Loene Carmen' (I'm not really knowledgeable of Aussie music so I'd never heard of her). Anyway, so I looked her up coz I thought her name was rather nice and then I saw that she has a daughter (also a prominent singer on the Aussie scene apparently) named 'Holiday' and I thought, 'hmm, Holiday? It's really quite a lovely name'. Another everyday word that I heard as a name that I fell hopelessly in love with that my husband wouldn't agree on, was 'Story'...... I so desperately wanted to call a girl 'Story' but it's not meant to be. My old hairdresser has a daughter called 'Poet', again, never would have thought of it, but again quite pretty. So basically, what I'm saying is that there are so many beautiful words in the English language that we just don't think to use as names.... That's all. Ponderism over.
