Hi everyone,

I just got my first BFP with IVF cycle #4 and have a few questions, hoping someone can help me.

1. How do I calculate how many weeks I am? My last AF was on 15 Jan. Is IVF calculation same as normal TTC?

2. I have been feeling twitchy at one specific spot on my abdomen and have some mild cramping in my 2ww and they are on and off still. Is this normal?

3. I am a bit constipated which makes me feel miserable, can I take something like Fibregel?

Thanks!

Hi!

Firstly, congratulations!!!!!

1. Don't go off your LMP as IVF cycles can be longer and EPU isn't necessarily on day 14 of your cycle. My clinic I think used my BT day as the 4 week mark, so their EDD was a few days later than I had calculated (I was using EPU day as "O" day), and that my early scans showed (by 2 or 3 days...). I'm assuming you'll have a scan at about 7 weeks (?) so I'd take that as the best EDD... They'll all be in within a couple of days, and as we all know it's only an estimate anyway!

2. The crampy/twitchy is completely normal! I did a HPT because I thought I wasn't PG and I was about get my AF... The nurses assured me that it was fine - and 3 scans later I almost believed them!

3. Call your clinic - the nurses are probably the best ones to ask... otherwise check with the pharmacist.

Congrats again!

Thank you BJBubbles. Praying that it is a sticky one!

Can I ask what LMP mean?

I hope you get your success soon.

Sorry - LMP = Last Menstrual Period.

Have you had a BT yet? I really hope cycle #4 is you last one!

That HCG is GREAT! My clinic likes to see anything over 100 for your first BT. Hang in there - I know how hard it is to feel happy. I think all you can do is believe it WILL WORK until you are told otherwise.
