Our Thermomix is definitely having an impact. I just came home from work to find DH is making brown rice salad in the Thermie for dinner - and this from the man who never normally cooks!

I've got custard freezing in ice cubes to whiz up to make ice cream tonight. In my head it's sounding super yummy and I'm looking forward to it! Also thinking of making an instant chocolate mousse that someone adapted from a Nigella recipe this weekend. No need to wait for it to set for impatient little me!

That alone is worth paying $2K for! What did the brown rice salad taste like? I was looking at the recipe the other day and thought it would be a good quick and easy one to make. I've still been busy with mine - made some veg stock, chicken stock, tomato ketchup, onion relish, pumpkin soup, EDC beef stroganoff, which was delicious. I made the tuna pasta as well but we didn't really like it. |

We haven't stopped sorbet-ing fruit since we got ours! I'll miss summer and all the fruit possibilities.

I made the Tuna pasta last night and we all liked it, next time I am going to try the one from budget busters too.
Today I made Apple Shortbread Slice and the EDC pumpkin soup as well as beating cream for the slice. I still love how quick and easy everything is to do. |

My poor little TMX has been a little neglected. Only making my smoothies at the moment. We have a freezer full of meals at the moment so have been reheating those.
I am have a varoma demo next week so that should spice up my tmx cooking a little |

I made the tuna pasta as well but we didn't really like it. The brown rice salad was good. It's a pretty simple recipe, so we just added a bit of spring onion. Using brown rice gives a lovely nutty flavour. We made the tuna pasta last week and it was ok - probably not as good as I can make on the stove top, but that requires so much more work and pots and washing up, that I am happy to have the quick and easy Thermomix version for quick after work meals. I'll be trying the pumpkin soup and beef strog soon. |
