Sorry, so busy with Uni. I've also been very unwell and in hospital with firstly Chronic Bronchitis, then the ER on the weekend and told Bacterial Pneumonia. Feeling like crap and insane shortness of breathe. ER doctor said to come directly back to them and not a GP if I wasn't better in 48 hours. It's been almost a week. I'm a Nursing student and ironically today's prac was vital signs So, I had my BP, RR, temp, oxygen saturation, heart rate, pulse etc. checked and not much has changed. I'll live.

In regards to another Hematologist, definitely and alternative. I get her test results next week. I've been tested again for anti DSDNA and been negative, not recently though, and apparently according to the Hematologist an positive anti DSDNA doesn't mean anything I thought it was a specific marker for Lupus ??

Rhuemy is definitely a real possibility. I see my lovely Neuro. soon and will happily tell him of my experience(s) with specialist. Bonus of Nursing - I know my rights now, so will act accordingly.

The Neuro. was waiting on the Hematologists report, but since I was told what was going to be put their and since I was there and know what this information was based on, I will be suggesting either another option or a Rheumy. referral. He did suggest trialing Plaquenil.

Wait and see now again.

HillmanMinx - The ER doctor suspected my original issue in my OP was due to inattention relating to my memory issues. I think your absolutely spot on Neuro. wasn't concerned, and did say if it happened again to get an ECG to rule out seizures. I think my Neuro. raised a good point when I saw him - I'm complex and give him a headache It was dismissed as stress on two occasions by him, but since seeing me over the few yrs knows it's a medical issue, just not sure what yet. Even the Hematologist said x, y and z was caused but "something else". It would be great if someone could figure that out. I don't want this. I didn't ask for this. Answers would be great, and I have faith in my Neuro. so will give it a little longer, but TBH if this goes on much longer I truly give up. I'm looking out for my own health, for once, and not the kids. You can honestly only do so much. There comes a point where I will give up regardless.

No news as yet. I see my Neuro. this Friday. I'll see what he thinks.

yep the anti-dsDNA is lupus specific but not all people with lupus have it.

Also plaquenil will help if you have lupus-it takes months to work though.
