QUOTE (Katie and Bump @ 16/02/2012, 09:44 AM) *
Hello everyone!

I'm a brand newbie, TTC for the very first time, after a long thought process with my DF. I'm waiting to O and finish my pill - have been on it for 8 years! I've heard mixed thoughts on falling pregnant straight off the pill; some of my friends hit it off on the first try, others took a year or two.

We're both extremely excited and I can barely stand the wait now, let alone the wait after O!

Look forward to talking with you all original.gif

P.S. - Meant to change my name to Katie and Future Bump but now I can't for 30 days!

I was on the pill for 8 years straight, then went on the implanon implant for 3 years straight, then went back on the pill for 3 or 4 months. All without a break between any of them, so I was on hormonal birth control for 11 years NON STOP.

I also didn't get a single period at all for the 3 years I was on the implanon, and when I was on the pill, I skipped my period. So I hadn't really had a period in 11 years.

I fell pregnant wihin 1 month of coming off the pill original.gif

The 2WW is driving me nuts.

Although it's not as bad as last month. Last month I was waking up at 3am every morning, and not being able to get back to sleep, because I was so eager to wake up and test with FMU. It was literally affecting my sleep.

I'm a a lot more relaxed this month, but still, it's driving me a little bananas.

I'm only 3 DPO at the moment. Argh.

seaside - that sure is some good news about short LPs original.gif thanks for sharing your excellent research

nadia, great news re your blood test results. Good luck with your assignment, hope you don't have to pull an all nighter. glad your car made it home.

allie, lovely way to tell your DH, and yay for egyptian cotton sheets! definitely take your temp the moment you wake. i wouldn't stress about 1/2 here and there

fingers crossed, sorry i see the evil af arrived. hopefully you will have a more regular cycle this time with O a little sooner!!

angie & morning rose, sorry about AF

morning rose, as kateydee said, it can take many months for your body to regulate again after the pill, i wouldn't stress too much at this stage about your chart. also, take a look at the links seaside gave earlier in this thread, seems like short LP might not be as bad as some of us may have thought.

babyinabackpack - I don't get O pain, hopefully yours is O pain and doesn't stay too painful for too long - go catch that egg! no bbt yet! it's starting to drive me insane. i'm finding ditching the alcohol fine, though i think i may allow myself a glass or two on special occasions. i'm hoping for the bbt to turn up and get a simultaneous bfp, just like it never rains when you take your umbrella, wishful thinking though. i cheated and poas yestrday for a bfn.

meg, i'd recommend a few slices of ginger in boiling water, you can sip with the ginger in or take it out, depends how strong you like it

pancake maker, sorry about V day AF!

kmg, i hear you, suddenly preggos take over the world when you're trying.

oh n@k sad.gif i'm so sorry you had to come back here. sounds like your little one stopped growing the same time as mine. we're here to support you when you need it. look after yourself and your dh.

welcome katie & bump! don't worry, as you prob know we ladies are born with all our eggs, so your future bump is already in there!

katie, i was on the pill for over 14 years, went on it at 17 because of bad period pains, good news is, my pains haven't gone back to the severity that they were in my teens.

yay chillidog, your wedding sounds fabulous! enjoy it! good luck with the opks! I'm so glad your dad's super fund did the right thing.

oh julesy jules, so exciting, why don't you POAS, if you're 13dpo it could work!

oh vanilla - hi! so lovely that you're checking in on us, hope you and bump are doing well!

kateydee- good luck waiting out the 2ww - it doesn't get easier, i hate to say.

afm - cd22 and no sign of AF ( i usually have 23 day cycles) so getting mildly hopeful, but not really at the same time. though POAS yesterday: bfn.

Good evening ladies!!!
How are you all tonight?

n@k - Oh nooooooo!! I'm sooo sad to hear you are back hun.. That must have been sooo devastating for you and your DH.. Please feel free to vent here to us. Sending big hugs your way!

meg - I actually have 2 ginger tea recipes.. One is just adding some sliced ginger, about a table spoon of honey (or more if you want) and some lemon juice to hot water! hmm.. Yumm.. The other one is where I actually boil the ginger on the oven, then add some honey and lemon at the end. The second recipe is also delicious but alot stronger.
And no I don't remove the ginger. I usually end up munching on a couple of pieces. If you are doing the second method you could remove the ginger if you wanted to.

Nadia - Thanks for sharing your O pain. That's great that your tests came back all clear!

julesyjules - yeah it's weird pain I'm getting too.. Not too sure if it's actually O afterall.. hmm..
Fingers crossed your weird cramping is EPS!! When are you going to test?

kmg82 - i think with me, when I hit the 1 year mark things actually got a little bit easier. I think I just in a way became quite negative about it. In a way I don't think I will ever get my BFP.. I hope I will, but after a long time, I guess you just become a little pessimistic about it. Which, in a weird way, has made it alot easier for me when it comes to others BFP's! I hope you get your BFP before you ever get to this stage!!

katieandfuturebump - welcome! I hope your stay here is short!

allie - if you wanted to add your chart onto your signature i'd be happy to stalk it for you! I LOVE charts!! lol

chillidog - how exciting about your wedding!! I hope it turns out the way you and your DF want it to! Can't wait to hear more about it!
That's awesome that your mum finally got your dad's super payout! It must have been so stressful for your mum, but I hope she can move forward now.

vanilla - HI HUN!!! cool.gif How are things going for you!?!

kateedee - glad to hear your TWW is less painful this time. Hopefully this will be your month!

johanna - not too sure if these cramps are O anymore.. I've had them for about 3 days now and so far no O.. hmmm...
As for you! CD22 is sounding pretty exciting!! I hope it was just too early for you to get your BFP! It's soo weird not knowing how many DPO you are!! lol! crossing my fingers!!

Well as I mentioned above, still no O which is pretty disappointing seeing as I am on CD14 today.. I really really really hope this isn't another stupidly late O.
I still have that weird cramping/stabbing feeling on my left hand side, but it's been there for the last 3 days, so i'm not hopeful that it is O cramps.. No idea what it could be..
But on a positive note, I have had ALOT of CM the last 3 or 4 days which is absolutely weird for me! I NEVER get CM so hoping this is yet another aspect of my cycle that has been repaired and that I O soon and can actually catch it this time!! lol

Have a great night all!
hugs to those with AF

Hey girls,

Im reading through your posts everyday and was thinking its about time I actually say hello original.gif

n@k - so sorry hun, sending you bbighug.gif Im am also turning 28 in less than two weeks, and I also thought that I would have had my BFP by now... Just trying to keep my head, and staying positive.

Sorry to all those who got a visit from the nasty AF.

Kateydee - im hearing ya with the tww..feels like it takes forever each and every month!

Johanna - fingers and toes crossed for you! Looking forward to the update.

AFM - Well i am currently 10DPO, I think. I havent been using anything to check O's exact date. AF is usually due about 14 DPO so I am just waiting it out. I have been getting these strange crampy niggles that lasted all day yesterday and I can still feel today. Also got creamy CM and been waking up in the middle of the night most nights. And very vivid dreams everynight! Its probably all in my head, but Im trying to stay optimistic original.gif

babyinabackpack - thank you! this group is so welcoming, I'm very happy to be involved! biggrin.gif

johannasweet - that's relieving to hear, hopefully I'm the same. My pains used to be so bad when I was a teenager that I'd have to get a shot of Pethidine from the doctor

KateyDee - wow your first month, that's great! I've been on the pill for 8 years but went off September last year & onto Implanon. Could only stay on that for one month though, it made me very depressed. So back onto Yaz now and waiting impatiently for the pack to finish!

~A2~ - thanks for this, I sent off an email to Therese original.gif

On a general note, I'm currently working my way through 'what to expect before you're expecting' and realise my diet definitely needs overhauling. I'm not getting enough calcium or fibre and need to cut out the Maccas. Is anyone else changing their diet, or have already? (sorry for the ignorance, I'm new to all this!)
