Congratulations hurryupalready, Zara Amy is a gorgeous name. Glad to hear all went fairly smoothly. Mumof32b, I expect we won't be hearing from you for a few days as baby comes. Good luck with it all.

Jimbobmel, did you see my post about the itchy feet. I remember that when my friend mentioned this to her OB he found it an important piece of info. She had other things going on as well but better to be safe. I'm sure all if fine.

How wonderful to have a surprise for the gender. DH wanted to find out what bub was, pregnancy being so focused on the mum that I thought yeah sure why not. I would have gone for a surprise but it has been good to know and prepare. Hurryupalready it sounds like your doing fabulously!

Happy Pushing!

I am so excited to read all these posts... ,my internet has been down.... Welcome beautiful baby Zara!!! Such exciting news.,.....and a beautiful name.....

So who is next? Mum of 32b- soudns like you are the contender.. best of luck and can not wait to hear your happy news....

I am so keen to get things started.... alas still carrying very high... The ob said she will induce me on 13th if nothing happens by then,.... feels so far away when it is really only around the corner,,,,,

Googled natural induction methods a while ago, no magic cure it seems but acupuncture and semen seem to have the best results ( of course when administered appropriately- do not get them mixed up!)

Am trying really hard not to 'wish' this time away but it is getting difficult not too...

Have the tel calls started for you all? i find that if i do not asnwer my phone it causes a slight panic!!! but lovely to know that people care.

Hope you all have a lovely day and that those twinges and pains stay longer of you feel ready for it!!!!!

Lizzy Lizzy

Hi girls,

Sorry for being MIA - am sick of being pregnant and just don't have much energy to post, but I am reading daily and thinking of you all.

Have updated the arrivals list and posted in here too. Will endeavour to stay on top of it daily so no bubs' are missed on the list.

Bellyrubs & labour vibes to all still pregnant (me included!) and baby cuddles for those already here!

Good luck everyone (:

Hi everyone!

I have been lurking in the background for months now, it's been a long time since i've posted anything but have been reading what you're all up to most days biggrin.gif I have some news and a funny story so thought it's a good time to join in the excitement with you all again!

So, yesterday I had a check up with my doc, i'm currently 38w 5d. He checked everything out and did a little ultrasound saying everything looked good, baby's head was well down and he commented on the large amount of fluid around the baby. As I was getting up from the bed I felt a little trickle between my legs and was horrified, thinking i had done a little wee! But as I stood up the trickle turned into a huge gush!!! My waters broke right there in the doctor's office!!! And they didn't stop! Apparently it's the first time it's happened to my doc in his office! I was embarrassed but so exited that things were about to happen!

Anyway, that was yesterday at 5pm, and i'm now sitting at home waiting for something more to happen! I've had a few period pains but they were very mild and passed quickly. My doc says if nothing has happened by tomorrow morning they will induce me.....I really really don't want that!! Anyone have any tips to move things along naturally???!

I'll keep you posted!

Good luck to everyone else still waiting and congrats to those who's bubs are already here!

xxx

It's hard to say no to Yoo-Hoo. The name literally beckons.
Wow Mishrides, how funny!! biggrin.gif Good timing?!

I think the suggestion that gets things moving the most is acupuncture (but I hate needles so I'll never do it). Sex is supposed to help but not sure its allowed after the waters have broken (in case of infection? I could be wrong). Maybe just walking/rocking/moving. So exciting for you! Be sure to keep us updated! biggrin.gif

Hey ladies. Big congrats on all the new babys! I haven't been around much but our little man Harrison James arrived into the world by c-section on Friday the 27th January at 12:03pm. He was 49cms long and 7lb 5oz with a full head of hair! He had some respiratory distress so was in the special care nursery for 2 days but is all good now and we were home on Sunday. In the end we gave up on the VBAC route and chose an elective C-section as the risks were really starting to stack up and it seemed that every time we passed one hurdle we were met with another.

Hoping you are all well and that you are all holding your little bundles soon original.gif

I haven't had any phone calls. The occasional text from my bffs in Perth and that's about it. DH comes home every day from working saying people ask him all day if he's a dad yet - he's getting tired of it! I said I'm lucky that I haven't had the harassment at all - I've heard it happens and I bet its annoying! No calls, a few FB messages of 'where's the baby?' but that's it. Hmm perhaps nobody cares? biggrin.gif

Oh MRSW87!! I've just seen your post!! CONGRATULATIONS! biggrin.gif Harrison James, gorgeous name! So glad to hear he is fine after his little stay in special care. He's here and safe now, doesn't matter how he arrived - eliminating all risks sounds smart to me. Enjoy your little boy bbluestork.gif wub.gif

Hi ladies
been ages since i posted...months actually.
still in one piece though bubs is due in 10 days.
Getting afew twinges here and there and the insomnia at night with a bit of restless legs, very annoying.
DS is getting excited about having a new sibling around and asked if we could open it up now, lol.
Hubby is going away over the weekend, he will be an hour and a half away, so not too far if it happens a little early.
just sold our house and bought a new one last week aswell so we have packing etc to get organised over the next few weeks so i hope this bub arrives soon. All this waiting for things to happen is starting to do my head in.
Hope everyone is staying positive and belly rubs to all those still waiting biggrin.gif
