At my seven week scan I found out that I'm expecting TWINS!! Very exciting as we were TTC for about 10+ months... not totally unexpected as twins run in my family!!

After seeing my obstetrician for the first time, I was advised to attend a different hospital to the one that I had my heart set on... will be attending RPA- NSW. If they do come early which is a possibility... it has better facilities.... so much to consider!

Anyone else due in August 2012 and expecting Twins?? Would love to hear from you... rolleyes.gif

Congrats from another twin Mum! It's rather exciting when you find out...

Definately don't belong in the due in Aug group but couldn't pass a twin post.

Are they identical or fraternal?

My OB told me the same thing (may be same OB). I had them at RPA and was glad I did. I was admitted at 33w for steroids and back at 34w4d and back again the next day and has them then. They were in the NICU there and they were great!

Congratulations!

Thank you Manicmum... very reassuring! Congratulations on the birth of your twins... hope everything is going well for you!

My OB is Dr Morris... not sure if you have heard of him? He seems really professional and RPA does have a fantastic reputation!

Just focussing on the 12th week scan and then I will take it from there... but I do feel very blessed!

Hi Bella!

I just found out on Friday that we're expecting twins. They measured right on target at 8 weeks - can't believe there were two heartbeats! I thought the US guy was TEASING!

This isn't my first pregnancy - I had a MC in October (found out at 10 weeks that we only got to 5...), so I'm ecstatic to have seen healthy little heartbeats at 8 weeks. I still can't get over the fact that there's TWO though.

Ours are in the same 'house' as the US guy put it - so I assume this means identical, but I could be wrong. There were two yolk sacs as well, but that's about all the info I have now - will know more when I see my GP tomorrow.

At the moment we have an EDD of August 24th, but he did mention that they sometimes recommend an EDD of 38weeks which would be 10th August.

Hope you're still doing well - it's so exciting! When in August are you due?

xx.
