DD1 (32 months) seems to still have separation issues and is a nightmare when we get home - from both my Mum's and FDC. She's also dropped her day sleep, but is at that inbetween stage where she needs it, but won't do it.

Do you think DD1 would be happier at a childcare centre with more kids to play with? Would it help with the tantrums when we get home?

How is your daughter during the day when she is away from you? Is she crying a lot at FDC and at your mum's? Or is she just a nightmare at home? A child care centre could be even more overwhelming for her.

Could you try slightly shorter days at FDC and with your mum?

DD can be overtired after daycare. It's generally when all the tantrums start. Daycare centres can be quite fullon. DD LOVES daycare but she is always really tired afterwards. I don't think putting her into a daycare centre will resolve anything. What hours is she in FDC for?

I dont think that would help. Probably more due to the dropping the day sleep. That can be a crappy time for most. I would just try to get her to bed early on daycare days. Both mine like daycare but do throw tantrums on the way home or at home afterwards (ages 2 and 4). So much better over the holidays when they dont go and they are less tired.

I would only consider changing if the daycare lady is complaining about tanturms and you thought she wasnt being cared for properly. I found when we changed DD to a preschool (daycare lady encouraged us for her sake) it was more disruptive in many ways and the behaviour was worse for at least 4 months.
