As per the title. Do you think it is too early to start cooking and freezing mini cupcakes, slices and muesli bars for school lunchbox treats?
I would wrap individually in glad wrap and then store in tupperware in the freezer.
Just wanted to do something while I have the time now, before going back to work.

Not to early, I came here searching for tips and recipes.
I've tried baking some some scrolls without much success and have muffins lined up next.

What ideas do you have.

Quinn Silas has arrived!
Nope, I started last night. I am a tiny bit excited about DS starting school in Feb. biggrin.gif

I plan to bake a term's worth each holidays. I think poor DS is going to miss his hot cooked lunches at daycare though.

We don't have a lot of spare room in our freezer so what I am thinking of doing is trialling a few different things between now and when school starts.

Whatever ends up being a success with the kids I will write up a list and then do a weeks worth of baking one week at a time over the weekend once school starts again

I don't have school aged kids yet, but I've been making this banana bread - http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/vie...na-Bread-108415.

It makes 2 big loaves and freezes beautifully. Would be great for school lunch boxes I reckon.
