Hi There all!

Just calling on your experience.

Im just 11 weeks and on saturday went for a walk like i normally do. Half way round felt flat and really lethargic.

Got home and layed on the lounge for 1/2 and hour and had NO energy what so ever.

Dragged myself to the shower and couldnt keep my eyes open.

I ignored all this got me DH and DS ready and went shopping...... as you do??

Got home in the afternoon and was just standing, had no pain or cramping just a massive torential bleed with about 2/3 cup of clots. without any pain, cramping or even spotting since??

I guess that explains the exhaustion that moring!

so im booked in for a nucal this week and had spoken to my OB. There isnt really anything i can do other than take it easy, but have any of you had anything like this happen and go on to have a beautiful baby? or has it all ended in tears?

Thanks in advance!

L

Hi - I am from the April DIG and just saw this topic through the new post section...Hope you don't mind me responding...

I had a few large bleeds at 9, 11, 12 and 13 weeks - which were a result of a subchorionic hemorrhage. I had a lot of scans over this time and was put on bed rest for 2 weeks after each bleed. I honestly though there was no hope that bub would still be there after a couple of them, but she suprised me everytime!

I am now 22 weeks and bub is going well. I still have a couple of blood clots visible on the ultrasounds but I have not had any bleeding since 13 weeks.

I hope everything works out for you

Hi. I'm also not from this DIG but saw the topic in the new section too and couldn't not respond.

I started bleeding at 12 weeks. It lasted the full week and was like a very heavy period. DD is now 4.5 months old and like the pp it was the result of a subchorionic hemorrhage. This massive bleed skewed my nuchal scan blood results (low papp-a and early bleeds are often linked) so keep that in mind when you get your results which will most likely be perfect. I ended up having an amnio due to my bad blood test results and my fluid was very badly stained with old blood....my Dr was surprised by how much bleeding I must have had and said the bad blood test results were linked to the bleeding.

Good luck....and sorry for butting in original.gif

Also came in from recent topics.

Not me personally but my bestie had a massive bleed at 12 weeks (as in soaked blood to her knees in under a minute). She of course absolutely panicked but an ultrasound revealed a perfectly happy and healthy baby. Bleed was subchronionic haemorrage and she was fine. Rested up for a few days and healthy baby boy six months later.
