Hello All

Wow first to post in the new thread.

How are we all going especially those that are close, any baby news?

Thank you to all those that have been thinking of me, it means alot. Now for an update..

We have just recently moved into a rental house after selling our home on acreage to move back into town and I must admit that after being the most reluctant to do so I wish we had done this ages ago - wow life is so much easier with the big kids being able to get themselves around & me not having to spend my whole life in a car biggrin.gif We've bought a block of land & hope to start buliding in the new year.. Don't really like renting but it's what we have to do but who said shifting just before christmas when pg & sick with hg was a good idea def not me lol. Lucky I have DD she has done most of the unpacking & packing for me..

My hg has seemed to settle down, I have good days mixed in with the bad so makes it more bearable & hopefully I'll start having more good than bad as I'm now 22weeks..

My scan went really well, was soo scared but came out with all clear, Didn't find out the sex but was so tempted especially as he asked me 3 times. Bub looks normal & healthy so fingers crossed all continues this way. I'll have another big scan at 28 & 32 weeks to check for growth & have been told that I will def be booked in for a c-section at 38 weeks. Would love to go into labour naturally but I keep telling myself do whatever it takes for a healthy live bub at the end. Also starting to feel some def movement. Argh almost there..

Oops so sorry this has been an all about me post I most def will be in here a lot more regular to lend my support to you all especially now thay I'm feeling a little better.

I think of you all always.. Remember if you'd like to be friends on face book pm as I would love to get to know you all a little better...

Cheers

J-A

So is this BRONZE????

Kellzz, welcome back and good luck TTC. Am so glad all results are clear. Hope you can join the land of vomit soon......not really, hope you can have a vomit-free pregnancy in no time at all.

J-A - glad the move is done and things are settling down. I found it got easier from 22 weeks too. Hope this bub sticks around and can last 'til 38 weeks.

Any baby news from Bettymm? Cant be long now...

AFM - well started vomiting again, and its awful!! Its really sore and uncomfortable to do it at 30-odd weeks....am not happy. Saw OB who thought it might be bad reflux, he's probably right as I don't have much preceding nausea now, but do have lots of awful reflux. I asked him if he thought this baby would come earlier than 41 weeks like the DDs, he said its unlikely. Great - 10 weeks to go. 4 more weeks of full-time work today, so am counting down.

Hope you all have better news...

J-A moving is hard! DP and I are starting to look at buying something early next year. Glad your DD is being such a good help original.gif what a good kid.

Kellz good luck TTC original.gif

doctorseuss I am starting to vomit and I think it's the terrible reflux I've been getting too. I am going to start taking Zantac. The other day I felt truly, terribly nauseous for the first time in a while and had a massive panic attack over it. Poor DP didn't know what to do, I was just hysterically sobbing and gagging. It just brought me straight back to the worst of it, and of course I thought- here I go again!

I still get really upset whenever I go to take my prenatal vitamins, because in the early days I would force myself to take them and bring them up, now I have this psychological aversion but "everybody" tells me off for not taking them.

I really admire all of you who have had subsequent pregnancies after experiencing HG, but I am treating this as the one and only time I do this pregnancy thing. I don't think I could mentally go through with it again, I just don't have the strength.

Also not helping with my anxiety is that there are some concerns about this baby as there is a single umbilical artery (there should be two) and they think he's measuring small. It's hard not to wonder whether I've caused it by not doing the right things, like eating right or taking my multis, or by taking medications, even though I know it's none of those things these thoughts come to me. It's hard not to worry. Anyway, they are going to start monitoring us more closely from 32 weeks with the view to bring him out early if he's not growing properly or if there's any problems with his kidneys which might have to work too hard with the umbilical cord issue.

Hope those with new bundles are doing well and am stalking for baby news.

Hopefully I have 11 weeks (or less) to go.

J-A glad the scan went well. Must be a bit of relief.

Kellz good luck and let's hope for no hg at all.

Pookems85- I only took a few prenatals they made me feel to I'll. I don't think make a dot of difference at this stage of your pregnancy. Sorry you felt sick again. You won't know yourself when you have baby

Hello all!
just a quick one from me to say our beautiful GIRL, Noelle Elizabeth arrived on the 14 Dec, 8.45 pm. She weighs a healthy 8 pound 1 and is 48 cm long. she is doing great.

Was a pretty epic battle in the end to get her out. SOOOOO different to my labour with first bub. Got to 7 cm fine and then was stuck there as bubs head was facing the wrong way and preventing my cervix from fully dialiting creating what they call a "cervical Lip" which, as babys head descends, pinches against my pubic bone. Extremely painful to say the least. So we had to get transferred from the birth centre to the maternity ward for an epidural and doctors assesment. bubs heart rate was not looking good then, so he assisted with the vacuum to get her ou quickly. phew. she was totally fine, 9 on the agpar. I am bruised and battered and feel like ive been put through the wringer! so we are taking it easy, mum is here taking care of big sis and thankfully bubs is feeding and settling well so far.

Sorry, no time for personals. Hope youre all well, will pop back in soon

cant believe my journey has finished!!

Berrymm - so happy for you, love the name. We are thinking if Elizabeth too for a middle name, it's in the family on both sides. And Noelle is so perfect for a December baby. Sorry it wasn't as straightforward as it could have been, soundalike bub is great though so hope you feel better soon too!!

Luvbngamum - cant believe Lily sleeps through, how fab!! Hope she learns to do that during the day so you can get a break.

Pookems - don't blame yourself about the single umbilical artery. I'm sure most of us don't take the vitamins because of HG - I didn't - and all of us have taken medications. It's nothing you've done, and hopefully bub is perfect anyway.

AFM - vomiting most evenings now, feeling so annoyed by being pregnant. I HATE IT!!!!! Am counting down, although really to 41 weeks like DDs. I think some of it is reflux but I'm nauseous as well for hours everyday. Oh so over it. When I get told its only 8 weeks left, it will go quickly, I think no it won't, it's going to be an endurance test.
