If you had a successful VBAC a Brisbane Mater Mothers Private and had a pro-VBAC OB, I'd love to know who your OB was.
My OB for DD has said that she will support a VBAC this time, but I'm concerned by how I only see stories from other ladies about her saying this and no actual stories of successful VBACs. I only know of one Dr for certain who is pro-VBAC, so I'll call tomorrow to find out if he's available, but I'd love to know who else might support my decision to attempt a VBAC in case he's not available. Since I'm assuming the rules require a reply via PM, I'm hoping I can receive PMs. I only just signed up today because I haven't had a response on the forum I usually visit. Hi... I am 30 weeks and just transferred to the Mater Mothers from another hospital. I had my first appointment there yesterday. (My first baby was natural, second Emergency C/S without labour.)
My first appointment was with the midwife. I asked her if VBAC was supported and she said 'of course, you'll find it is preferred.' I then asked the ob who was my next appointment. Even though I am having my 3rd high risk pregnancy (PE in the first, PE and HELLP in the second, PIH now since 5 weeks and have been on weekly high risk ob appointments from the start) she still said that a trial of labour and VBAC would be ideal. (Not what I was expecting to hear at all.) In fact... I asked if that would still be the case if I needed to be induced as my babies have both needed to come out very quickly due to PE. She said yes, they would still induce a VBAC. I am going public through the Mater but the obs are all the same. Good luck. I had no resistance from the at all. Quite the opposite. |

Oh, yes please! I'd love if you could PM your OB's name to me.
ps. Sorry for the late response. I didn't receive a notification that I'd had any replies. |

Hi Bluey, hoping you wouldn't mind PM'ing me the name of your pro-VBAC OB? I tried PM'ing you but having difficulties sending through. I just got a ghost line reading on a HPT this morning and am now frantically searching for the right OB
Thank you |

I had an excellent OB at the Mater Private last year.
Completely and totally supported my desire for a VBAC and never once tried to talk me out of it. He was brilliant. I'll PM you! |
