My tearing was severe with my first birth but 3rd, not 4th. I had another natural birth 5 months ago - I wasn't offered a C-section and in fact no one mentioned it until after I gave birth when a few people seemed surprised I didn't opt for one. My birth was managed very strictly by the team and I was given an episiotomy when it looked like I might tear along the same line. I was stitched up after in the birthing suite and went home within 5 hours of giving birth. Both my babies arrived quickly (15min and 16min pushing). My recovery after birth #2 was very straightforward and easy.

I had a 3rd degree tear after my DD was born. My GP tried to repair me in birth suite but ended up in theatre for 2 hrs. Unfortunatly my repair wasn't done correctly and 3 yrs down the track im having lots of issues with unable to control gas and regular episodes of feacal incontinence
P.S. I thrilled u had a great birth and things are feeling great |

3c or d (ie a whisker off 4 - I wasn't taking in the terminology all that well) and a 1L blood loss here. I was in theatre for a couple of hours, no complications afterwards, though I've been ordered to have a C-sec should I reproduce again.
