Hey ladies sorry i have been so quiet i can only get Facebook on my iPhone so i haven't had time to jump on the computer to check out this DIG

most of you i know and have been updated through FB on your arrivals.. so a big congrats again and those not on FB a big congratulations on the safe arrivals of your precious little bundles of joys.

update: Ben is now 5 weeks old today. we are off to mothers group to get weighed. Last week he was 3.6kgs so putting on a average 250gms a week. We have been overall pretty good. had one real restless day/night and that was this weekend where he fed every 1-2 hrs and he didn't won't to leave me.. but he seems happy today and is asleep in his bed. he also got the snip last week which went well.. mummy couldn't go in with him as i was too emotional. he had one restless night that night and took panadol like it was lolly water. (sugar tooth he has)

for those who don't know... I'm expressing 99% of my milk and giving it via bottle. as i found ben was vomiting lots after a breastfeed (as I'm using a nipple shield the flow just seemed to fast for him.) i had him on the breast twice in 12hrs and he seems to be happy and content again with no vomiting so ill keep trying again until he becomes unhappy and vomiting again.. i worry my milk supply will diminish due to me only expressing. so far my supply has been perfect for ben but i worry when he gets bigger i may just not have a enough. but am happy to top him up with formula if he needs it when he is bigger.

the child & family health nurse said that if I'm expressing milk i need to work off this formula(until they are 2-3mths)
150mls x (babies weight) = xmls
xmls divide by (number of feeds per day) = xmls per feed

then once they hit 3mths i think she said the 150mls changes to 130mls.

so at the moment my little ben is getting ample.

here is a photo of little Ben in his xmas gear @ 4 weeks old
