Does anyone have the pram that goes with it? They have them on sale again next week at aldi and I was thinking about getting the capsule and the pram. Such an awesome price. I know the capsule is definitely a rebrand of the safety first one but I am not sure about the pram. Thank you for any help!!!

hi all,

we purchased the pram & capsule from Aldi for $99 each.

this is the pram:
http://www.igcdorel.com.au/cms-nursery/str...a-stroller.phps

and as other's have pointed out, this is the capsule:
http://www.igcdorel.com.au/cms-car-seats/i...nt-carrier.phps

now I have to admit I am new to the world of prams & capsules, and haven't quite managed to road test it with a passenger. but here are my initial impressions:

pram:
1. the pram is solid. it doesn't have a 'cheap' feel to it.
2. the instruction manual is written in relatively good English and only a small amount of assembly is required (fitting the wheels, bumper bar, capsule adapter etc)
3. for $99, I feel it is an excellent buy (although I reserve the right to change my mind once we get our passenger in it)

capsule:
1. fits onto the pram very well and comes with its own canopy
2. has nice quality fabrics
3. I feel the instruction manual is difficult to understand (although I have no idea, and will be getting the base fitted by a professional)
4. reduced from $149 to $99 - an excellent buy for something that is only used for 6 months.
5. Aldi don't seem to advertise the '5 star rating' fact (I assume that is a genuine '5 star' and not a 'best in class - el cheapo' rating. I do however have a lot of confidence in the Australian standard and am comforted to know it is rebranded and not a super-cheap import.

and that's that. I'd recommended it purely on the basis that both items are at a really fantastic price and Aldi have a 60 day no questions return guarantee.

also, we gave ourselves a pat on the back in selecting what pram we wanted in less than 60 seconds and not needing to step foot in a baby store.

oh, and I just discovered the capsule doubles as a rocker, which I think is pretty cool.

My local Aldi had them on clearance today - both capsules & prams reduced to $69.99. I wasnt going to get pram to go with capsule but at that price I couldnt not!

Pram seems ok but doesnt really 'fully recline' like it says although they do supply a head snuggler with it. I guess for the price it will be handy for those quick times you need to attach your capsule to a pram. However I think I will still use my other pram for outings.

For anyone who's actually been using their re-branded (!) Safety 1st capsule, how are you finding it? Also the matching stroller? My tip is that Babies R Us/Toys R Us are also selling a 're-brand' as a Mother's Choice Vivea, with a matching stroller as well. The base label says One Safe on it, it comes with an IGC Dorel manual clipped to the capsule and it all adds up - it's $279 for the capsule, though, which is only about 10% cheaper than the original brand name. The Vivea stroller, which it fits onto, is selling for $250. Anyone else bought one of these or seen them out there???

I have used my Aldi capsule for 2 days now and I prefer my old Unity. Not having a separate hood, it is atached to the handle is a PITA as You can not have the hood on in the car if you thread the tether strap correctly. It is difficult to carry with the hood on and the release button is not as good as either.

Has anyone tried the stroller with the branded go safe capsule? I have the go safe capsule and regretting not buying the stroller from Aldi when it was available. It is way too heavy to carry around for too long. I always have to transfer DS into my pram which does not have the capsule clippy things.
