thank you for adding me. We didn't discuss the next round of IVF... He decided to perform an ERPC on me today (and ironically I ended up losing most of it last night). He said they will try doing chromosomes but it may not grow after last nights loss. He said to come back in 6 weeks to discuss the next step but is happy for us to try again naturally in the meantime so long as I wait 5 days after the bleeding has stopped. back to the waiting game, which for my experience is the worst part of IVF. Waiting for AF waiting for collection 2WW etc etc etc. Glad to hear your AF turned up bright, I hate when she keeps me waiting! Hi eskimoo and madalem

Hi Graceful,
I don't know what an ERPC is! Anyway you sound quite comfortable with the appointment and the plan for what is ahead - other than the waiting game.... yep I hear ya on that one!!! AFM... I jabbed tonight!!! I had to do a "booster" and now I will be doing them at the same time every morning for 15 days - 15!!!! I thought it would be about 10! Anyway the jab was fine, hardly felt it. Learned very quickly afterwards though that doing it on your waistband line is not a good idea.... I'll be going lower in the morning! I'm excited and freaking and excited all at the same time. I'm about to head off to a pilates class, I'm expecting lots of bloating so I figured I would get as much exercise as I can in before it really becomes uncomfortable. |

Graceful Lily - hopefully you can get some answers from the ERPC which will help with the PGD side of things.
BF - 15 days seems longish, I think my last cycle was about 10 (by the time they cancelled it) but maybe its slightly on the longer side to give more follies a chance to grow to a good size? The bloating was pretty bad for me too, and by the evening was horrible. When is your first scan? Madalem - |

Morning all.
So, I just got my dates from the clinic.....and now I am freaking out! Last pill on 2 May, and pre-stim scan and start stimming on 9 May????? By my calculations, AF would then start on about 5 May, so stimming start on Day 5??? Is that normal? I started stimming on Day 3 last time.... Mid-stim scan on 14 May, and then EPU on 17 May....doesn't sound like long enough for stimming - only 7 days??? Last time, I stimmed for 9 days (from Day 3 until Day 11 when I triggered), and EPU was Day 13.... Should I just relax and go with it, and trust that they know what to do, or should I ask the clinic again to recheck dates??? |

My cycle was very similar to your first but perhaps the OCP changes things? Give the clinic a ring, it can't hurt to check! :-)

Hi Madalem, I would check with the clinic too. Isn't it normal that you would have a blood test when you get AF and that they will then tell you when to start the stims??

Hello everyone..
After calling the clinic, my last pill has been changed to 3 May, with stimming still starting on 9 May...which should be Day 4 or 5.....depending on how long AF takes to turn up after stopping the pill. Bright - no, my clinic doesn't do bloods to start stimming. My FS does a pre stim scan - he is the only one at the clinic to do it though..... It's interesting that each clinic and FS can be so different.... Didn't get a chance to ask about the length of stimming....the nurse was so short..... Bright - how is the jabbing going? Eskimoo - are you starting jabbing soon too? This post has been edited by Madalem: 20/04/2012, 05:15 PM |
