Thought I'd post about DS2's party incase anyone else's kids love the octonauts...
DS2 is having his party tuesday. Yesterday we settled on an octonauts theme and I bought some supplies, so no advance planning whatsoever. I've decorated 1/4 of the dining room as a kelp forest using crepe paper hanging from the pelmets and dotted through there 12 jellyfish made from streamers, shower caps and rubber bands. Under the kelp forest is a greenish coloured air mattress which I wrote GUP-A on the side a few times with permanent marker. I used blue card and some wool to make octonauts hats. Cut up a black "green bag" and some hat elastic to make kwazii style eye patches. will set up a peso infirmary where the kids can become junior medics by bandaging soft toys with toilet paper and lastly "tweaks workshop" which is a pin the tail on the donkey style game but using the pods on the octopod instead. I'm doing a captain barnacles cake and some other on theme food if I get time. I feel like the macgyver of kids parties but so far its coming together. I'll post some pics after the party |
