Hi
Maxshim - yes practice makes perfect (or so they say!)

katherine - love the tea bag idea.

I did some sewing and made a little pair of rompers as a present. Just to wash, iron then blog!
Also ordered some of the new Amy Butler Lark with a friend ohmy.gif so I should keep sewing down the stash. Good thing is the new lot of fabric will be delivered to my friend's house so I can sneek it home. ph34r.gif although I guess DH will see the bank transfer - although cash - there's an idea!

Better go, work still flat out...

No luck with dropping back to part time then Susan? Work is a pain isn't it wink.gif

Katherine - like the tea bag idea, why not just a teacup or mug to go with it instead of a candle - more useful that way.

Maxshim - well done, I think you need to start a blog to keep a record of it all!

Hi Cecily, 3 bubs and A-angel, nice to see you - will check your blogs when I have time...

Little bit of sewing here but DH is a bit cranky about sewing and computer time ( rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif ) so not as much as I'd like. I've got some zippered pouches on the go and planning a doll quilt for a swap, but that is it so far.
I'll try to blog my finished star quilt tonight.
I need a name for it if anyone has any ideas, so I can make a label for it. it is on the bed in the spare room and I think it will live there because it is a little big for the couch and a little small for everyday use on our bed, and I want it to be out being used, not stuck in a cupboard.

Yea with time running out and haven't even sourced tea cups and saucers or candle making supplies I think a mug might be the way to go!

I'll upload some sewing pics of recent finished items once kids are in bed original.gif

I've been MIA for quite a while now. We've just got back from a camping holiday (had a fabulous time) and before that I was busy getting packed and with life in general. I'm hoping to be posting more often now.

katherine - I love the tea bag idea too. I might use this one for some christmas gifts I think.

becanne - looking forward to seeing the completed quilt. I agree that it should be out on display, looks fantastic from what I have seen so far.

maxshim - unfortunately practice is the best way. I love the little skirt you made and your other things but love the fabric on the skirt. Looks like your lessons are well worth the money.

anyonezangel - looking forward to seeing the hat.

cecily - cute owl skirt on your blog. Looks like you've been busy crafting and around the house.

threebubs - fantastic cake. Wish I was that clever with cakes.

Susan - Great hat. Hope you got your retail therapy in.

Naomi - Glad that you are feeling a little better. I hope you are enjoying your shopping for the new bub. It must feel like the first time again when you are in the shops. What a lucky baby, getting everything new.

AFM - I'm hoping to get started on some birthday and christmas presents over the next few weeks. I have traced off the sketchbook shirt pattern in 2 sizes tonight and and hoping to get it cut out tomorrow, that is if I can convince DS to play without me for a few minutes! I'm also having a practice run at this book sling for DD bedroom. I want to give it a go in some old fabric first as I think I can make it a little stronger if I do the rod casing differently. I want to make about 3 short ones to fill a space in her room. I have a few other projects on my to do list but have decided I need to finish things before I start something new.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their sewing.

Morning all original.gif

Wow what a busy week! I had my first market stall on Saturday, it went really well. I was surprised because I expected to sell not much (as it was my first stall) but I sold 5 dresses, 4 bags, lots of baby rattles, smurf hats and a few other little things. It was good original.gif not sure how often I want to do it though, still thinking about it...
Yesterday I had a lump removed from the bottom of my foot so not much moving here, I am confined to a chair in front of the tv....I am bored! Also it is my pedal foot for sewing, so not sure when I will be up for sewing again ohmy.gif Might have to try and use the other foot lol...

I have joined a sew along on the sew mama sew blog to do some Xmas napkins and place mats for my MIL for Xmas, I have picked fabric and cut now to the sewing original.gif

Katherine - the toys are cute, I haven't tried any animals yet.

Kattrell - I'm glad you enjoyed camping. We are going camping in november, well sort of (we have a cabin at the camping ground lol). I don't have all the gear yet so went for the cabin original.gif

Becanne - I like the idea of quilts being out and used instead of packed away too original.gif I will have a look at your blog and come back if I have an idea for a name, I'm not usually good with that sort of thing tho original.gif

Hi to everyone else!

Earlier in the week I made some baby sets for some friends having bibs soon - onsies, bibs and rattles all in dr Seuss fabric original.gif I will try and blog today. I also just received some echino squares from a swap I was in, so excited! Not sure if I want to cut it though lol.

Other news is that we are moving! I hate the idea of packing, cleaning, moving yuk. But we are only moving about 10 houses down the road original.gif
