SuezS - I'm back sewing now so no knitting for me at the moment. I did start a simple jacket for DD last year in Sept but lost motivation with it as she grew too quickly. Perhaps I need to use the wool for a simple hat that's quick to make. Do you know of any patterns using 8ply?

Melajoe - How is your DD? How did you go with the dress? I hate it when things don't go together the way you planned.

Cecily - glad your DH business is going well. Running your own business can be so rewarding. My DH ran his own plumbing business for 8yrs but decided to take on full time employment in a different field about 2 1/2 yrs ago. He still has days when he misses working for himself but overall we made the right decision for us. I sure don't miss doing the BAS!

AFM - I mentioned that I started a blog with my sisters. Here is the link for anyone who is interested in having a look.(Our Blog) It's still a work in progress but it's a great way to share our crafts with each other and anyone else who is interested in reading. I have also put a tutorial of a keyring I made when I was participating in the themed sew along. A few people asked me for a tutorial and I finally got around to putting one together.

My knee is getting better and I can finally bend it enough to sit at the sewing machine. I'm still having to take things easy, carrying my DD around is tricky so our cuddles are now sitting in the chair. It won't take long to get back to having full use of it though, I'm just disappointed about missing out on netball for the rest of the year. Perhaps I'll play next year if I can't convince DH to have another baby!

I'm home today looking after the boys as Brett is out of action. Should be catching up on housework but nah....

Kattrel - Love the idea of a shared blog. Can you knit in the round, ie use circular needles - it is super easy. There are heaps of patterns on Ravelry and you can search by ply.

Cecily - hard to believe a girl grows out of flounces and into leopard print wink.gif But 8 wow she is growing up. Soon too big for Mumma sewing ohmy.gif

Becanne - thanks biggrin.gif I love that wool. Expensive but good quality and nice colours. DS did wear it to the speedway that weekend but still complained of itching.

Mel - I find knitting relaxing although not when I make mistakes (often).

Better go and at least pack a few things away and put tea in the slow cooker / pressure cooker.

Susan
