Unfortunately, I'm out. I'm not able to have this surgery now as I need fairly urgent neck and back surgery. I can't afford to do both, and as I've lost the feeling in both of my hands and starting to affect my feet and my bladder, this one trumps that.

But I want to say that I've been reading away, and taking note of what you have all told me that you could eat a month or two out. I've been following those guidelines for the past 3 weeks and have lost 8kgs and am almost off insulin (I have been on massive doses of insulin for 2 years now). So I want to thank you so much for that. You're inspiring, every one of you.
