"Your body is not a lemon!" - Ina May Gaskin
As my Aunty says:

What suits the wearer suits the starer.

Life is too short to worry about what every one is wearing. Seriously, OP, don't go to any European beaches, least the excess aged and even NAKED flesh offends thee...

No long hair on old ladies? Feck, I'm 32 and still rock piggy-tails when I feel so inclined. And (hold on to your fashionably milned hat) probably will when I'm 50!!

What are you supposed to swim in - a burqa?

As a pear shaped lady, everuthing's below the knee for me, and has been since my teens. Short hair is easier to look after and thigh-high boots and catsuits require too much baby powder to get them on.

I didn't mean swimwear that's fine i mean like Lycra shorts or short shorts etc

I'm doing it at 40 love!

And my step MIL has beautiful silver short plaits... she totally rocks the 'just stepped off my racing yacht' look at 68!

You know what fashion faux pas I don't like? Not dressing for the weather!

The sun was shining here yesterday and I saw several women in tiny sundresses or singlet tops....

Fine, if we were in Far North Queensland.... this is TASMANIA!
In August!!!
It was about 16 degrees for about 40 minutes from midday!!

Also, I don't really like summer shorts above the knee on anyone over the age of about 35

Holy hell, that's the scariest thing I've ever read on EB!

Today.

I never dress appropriately for the weather. I just don't feel the cold.

Muscle shirts on any man without muscles over 15
Shoulder pads in blazers says: I've had this power suit since 1982.

I think everyone should have capes, regardless of age, gender or social standing.

I think the world needs more capes.

Capes rock.

Capes are underrated!

When I started my nursing training we wore red capes. Good Lord that was 30 years ago. I wish I had kept it, that cape would have looked so cool cool.gif
