How is everyone feeling (other than huge, tired, over it and impatient)?

Morning all!

I've gotta say, I'm actually not over it yet. I've felt kind of bad feeling this way as everyone is getting really impatient. I'm still really enjoying being preggers - the only really frustrating this is the pain/ligament stretching in the lower belly whenever I turn over in bed or forget to be careful getting up and down. Oh, and the undies digging into the belly at times happy.gif

I feel like there's not enough time to have everything done that should be done, I'm a great procrastinator so figure I'll be doing everything when I'm in pre-labour.

DP asked me last night if we should have a backup emergency labour support person. I was like 'where are you planning on being?!, running away already?' I think he's just worried about being caught in traffic or something. or if he's in an accident or such. I pointed out if he's in an accident they'll have to caesar me anyone I'll be so distraught, otherwise if it's happening that quickly (he only works half hour from home) I'll be calling a taxi and no-one could probably get there anyway so it'll be me and the midwives / taxi driver.

Has anyone thought about how it's all going to unfold? I know we have no idea but....

I assured him it'll probably be a slow burner, I'll have cramps during the night, we'll start realising they're regularly timed, he'll call in sick, we'll hang around home all day getting nervous, pacing the streets, before many hours later heading to hospital for many more hours of waiting/pacing/showering etc.

Yay for everyone finishing up work, I think we really need this. I was exhausted yesterday after just going to hand some forms in for paid parental leave and an hour of window shopping. I was home by lunch and napped for 3 hours in the afternoon (big mistake, couldn't sleep until 2am!)

Clinic appt today, really looking forward to it, just to see if bubs is more engaged etc.

Have a great day everyone! biggrin.gif

I'm not 'over it' either. I feel great! A little tired and yesterday I was a little bored of being home but I think that's because I had no plans. I'm fine today, having plans in my head.

No idea. DD was an induction so this is all new to me. Well hopefully they don't decide to induce again.
I kind of have a feeling that it will all start one night when I hop into bed and I'm just hoping its a night DH isn't on night shift, but I can't help feel that it will be.

Jen - I really hope you get to experience a good sleeper this time round.

nlman - I hope you and I are blessed with good sleepers yet again. As boring as it was I'd prefer that to what Jen went through.

anneekins - good luck!!!!

MaSmudge - I hope you get your wish and that little bubba of yours turns for you.

I can't believe I'm 38 weeks today! Yipeeee!!!!!! I'm absolutely stoked to have made it this far biggrin.gif
Now all I ask is that bub decides to come on his/her own so I don't have to be induced.

I am wondering if any of you have or are taking belly pictures? I never have with my others but this is my last baby and I would like to take some but I have no idea what I want

I managed to get video on my phone of the baby moving. It was pretty awesome. I had to try every time I remembered for ages before I got it though...

NewMum - You seem to have forget our agreement!! We are not going to have our babies until this Friday happy.gif

Oh yeah! I forgot we were having our babies on Friday! Phew! That's a relief! (Actually honestly I just want a deadline! I feel I could make it if I could just know that by X date I will have my baby.)

Baby is still not engaged.

Have my OB appointment this afternoon. I feel like my belly has dropped since last week. Please everyone wish me "engagement vibes"!! If my doctor cheerily tells me "Nope still not engaged at all" I think I might stand up and smack him.

NewMum - Good luck with the engagement vibes, sending plenty your way. Does it feel like your whole belly has dropped (mine seems to not fit into any of my shirts lately so fingers x'd)

I also have an OB appointment this arvo. I have this really bad feeling that he will bring my c-sec date to this Friday, instead of Monday. I dont know why, just with the BP, swelling and headache issues lately its what I am thinking. Trying not to do too much today (even though I have so much to do) so that the BP and swelling isnt too bad by the time I get to my appt at 4.30pm.

Happy Tuesday to everyone else. Its nice and sunny here in Sydney today, so lets all make the most of it.

mad.gif Not engaged!! Come on baby, you're running out of space! Head for the exit!!

OB says if she's not engaged next week "It's likely she'll be late"... NOOOOOOO!!

Also people (my cousin) really need to stop telling me to "enjoy being bored while it lasts". Asking someone to enjoy being bored is like telling them to enjoy being sunburned. Sure, it's not the worst pain but it's not pleasant!!

Bummer Newmum - I'm sure you've heard it all before but lots of babies, even first babies, don't engage until labour starts. Hopefully bubs isn't late.

I am over it! Although I do remember never being over it with DS and even going to have him thought "I'm not ready yet!"

I feel like rubbish, headaches, nausea, tiredness...all the usual symptoms a cold brings. I had a runny nose but I've taken something for that, took DS to daycare then slept until 2pm and am trying to tidy up a bit before I go get him but I am really ready to go straight back to bed! A very early night for me I'm thinking.

Oh, I shall join the Friday girls - I wrote it on my calendar as apparently that's as effective as anything else laughing2.gif

Be lurking for updates and BABIES!!

ahahahhha! You're hilarious! So true about being bored (I've been told to enjoy it too). Over it. I think I need to stop watching so much tv, that's makes the boredom/loneliness worse.

Well I hate to rub it in but my little one is now 3/5 engaged. Everything still measuring bang on the expected. Nice strong heartbeat, in lovely head down bum out pozzie. All looking good for now. Although I need to do more exercise, drink more water and eat more fruit - story of my life happy.gif

Sounds positive Greenthumbs!! Can I ask how they measure your level of engagement? My OB just poked me in the pelvis for a minute. Surely there are more scientific methods of calculating it...
