Hi Ladies! I hope you are all well!

For me, first baby took 22 hours
2nd baby took 12 hours
3rd baby took 2 hours and
4th baby took 1.5 hours

This was established labour....when you actually know its the real deal! I never count the on/off niggles when you are asking yourself 'could this be it?'

I am hoping for a quick 5th labour and birth. I am 2 minutes from the hospital so all is good.

I will try and get on later and do some personals when I have more time.

Hi All,

I love my wednesdays off! Nothing exciting going on here, bub is moving heaps more now, I have anterior placenta so it took a while to feel, but its very jumpy today.

Hazaley I wish I could gain 15kgs and look like that! I dont think you'll have a prob losing it, dont worry. I cant even see the floor anymore lol. My tummy is officially bigger than my boobs now, but they haven't grown. I keep hearing about getting huge boulders during pregnancy but Im still a b cup!

Oh well Im not worried, its just interesting the variation between bodies.

Ive been dealing with my b**ch who is on heat breaking through the fence trying to get out. She cant get out of the neighbours yard but the much smaller staffy can, and has gone missing twice this week. Argh very stressfull, but luckily we found her each time. We've done a lot of mending to the fence its a 30 y,o wooden fence and is all rotting etc. Ah the joys of renting.

Hope you are all going well

Hi Everyone!

Hope the thread doesn't close whilst I'm typing!

Hazely: You are so active, I really wouldn't worry about the weight! I think you're right in saying there's not much we can control about it, especially if we're already eating healthily and exercising. And you put me to shame as I'm no way near as active as you! original.gif

TraditionalMum: I have the Big W catalogue at home and was so disappointed that the sales hadn't started yesterday when I was at the shops!! So hoping that there will still be good bargains when I get there on Saturday!

Melbo: Ooooh, didn't realise Target still had sales on too. I have 2 sets of cot sheets so I think I'm gonna need at least another one. Thanks for that!

Labour: This being baby no 1 for me, I have no idea what to expect re: labour times. I've read all the stuff about labour being long for 1st babies and I'm thinking I'll just have to go with the flow. I'm planning on being home for as long as possible prior to going to hospital so if my labour's long, then at least I'll be home for most of it. That's the plan anyway! Who knows what will happen!!

Glucose test: I have to book mine in soon. Not really looking forward to it but hoping all will be ok.

Hi to everyone else! Hope all is going well ladies!

AFM: I've been trying very hard to restrain myself from buying things for bubs. I love reading and I'm finding it really hard to not buy baby/children books. DH thinks I'm being silly but I just love all the baby books and even the fairy tales. I bought this gorgeous book which is meant for newborns in the cot; it's just high contrast patterns and shapes but also has a tiny mirror and I can't wait to see bubs look at him/herself for the first time in a mirror! original.gif

Hi Girls, been a little while since I've been on! Sounds like everyone is doing well.

Hazely: Don't worry about weight, there's so many fun things to do after baby is here that will help. Walking, Mummy and baby classes etc etc

TraditionalMum & Melbo: Sales get me into so much trouble! Even though I already have a fair bit of clothes I still wasnt to buy my little baby boy more!!! P.s loving the new bonds newbies range esp the short sleeve onesies <3

Labour: I'm hoping to have similar experience for labor as my first, just under 5 hours from start to birth (including 35 mins of pushing). I didn't use any pain relief, but wasnt able to be as active as I hoped, I hope I will be able to move around more this time.

Glucose test and blood test: I'm booked in for mine in two weeks. I'm so scared already. The last time I didn't cope too well. I was sick and passed out 3 times ffor my pregnancy conirmation test. So I'm pretty terrified of this one!!
Any of you girls have any issues with blood tests?

Baby Doppler: Loving the Bebe Sounds baby doppler that we got, its amazing at the end of the day to lay down and hear baby's heartbeat! My 3 yr old is obsessed with hearing it. Def recommend one.

AnjG: Love books for babies! Those books are fantastic for newborns!

no3nov11: I used raspberry leaf tea in my third trimester and afterwards also. I think it helped, and will use it again this time. Not sure about the tablets, but I always think why not give it a go!

Hi all

Just a quick pop in. Hope you are all well. I have been reading but with this illness (not sure if anyone read my last post unsure.gif ) and other things going on, I haven't had the chance to post.

People on FB have been kept up to date but thought I would fill you in here too.

I have had a bit of a worrying week. From Sunday until Tuesday, I didn't feel baby move at all so headed up to the hospital. They checked bub and got a heart beat straight away. With my history, the OB wanted to do a bedside scan.

They also did a quick blood sugar test as if blood sugars are low, baby can be sleepy.

She did one today and baby looked ok but was very sleepy/still. Kinda creepy really! OB wanted to organise a formal scan with the proper medical imaging machine. Went in today for that and baby looks normal.
All measurements are up to date, fluid levels are good, heart beat ok and they confirmed again that baby is a she.
She was still extremely quiet and still though but they said they couldn't see any reason for that, just that baby is sleepy.
She's still been quiet over the last few days but has given me a few good kicks.
I have now hired a doppler so if I get worried at all, I can check on bub. My other kids love that they can hear the heart beat too.

Anyhow, about to get a choc pudding out of the oven. I will try and be a bit more regular!

Thanks for those that have posted specials! original.gif

Hope you are all well hheart.gif

Hi Girls,

Went to big w last night and wasnt very impressed with thier sales. I got a 3 pack of baby wraps for $12, but later went to babies r us and theres are $10 normally but had 30% off so got some muslin wraps for $6.99.

I was also very excited to see Little Takas Nappies, I saw them at the baby expo but haven't seen them in any stores. They are 90% biodegradable so that removes the guilt for me using disposables when we go out etc. But the best part is they are 2 for 1 at babies r us until Aug 23!

Have a good weekend
