Its a bit sad in here isn't it... I had hoped that the facebook girls would continue to post in here occasionally but that doesn't look like its going to happen. I think I'll see if the Sept group will have me as I technically belong there anyway.

I'll update incase anyone else still calls in here to see what people are up to.

Jack will be 10 months old on Sat, that time has gone so fast, its amazing how the 9 months you are pregnant seems like forever then once they are out time flies.
Jack is crawling, has one tooth and is now pulling himself up on everything. He has had a few crashes as I'm not sure he realises that he can't actually walk original.gif
I am back at work doing 2 shifts a week and also doing some work for the census which is going to have me pretty busy for the next month. My MIL looks after him when I am working, he loves it and doesn't seem to care when I leave him, though he is excited when I go to pick him up.
Not much else happening, he sleeps pretty well, from about 8.30pm to usually 6ish with one wake up in the night, usually around 2ish. I don't feed him at night so usually takes about half an hour to settle him. Trying to get out of the habit of bringing him to bed with us when he is unsettled, but the freezing nights here don't help.
We are off to Perth to visit my parents at the end of august, the heading to NZ for a holiday end of Oct so plenty of plans on the go.

Take care all
Dani

It IS a bit sad in here isn't it!

Dani...what you said about time flying, Illyana is 10 months on Aug 5th, where did that go? She has just cut her 7th tooth, is crawling like a demon, turn my back and she's GONE!!! LOL Plus cruising and the inevitable falls that come with thinking you're better at standing than you actually are!
Food...she' s still , how shall I put it, selective!! Nothing from a spoon and only truly enthusiastic about peas and corn! Oh and cucumber and pear! Anything else either gets devoured, thrown on the floor or just mushed, sometimes eaten! Lots of mess and I'm trying really hard to just 'go with it' and not worry! It IS somewhat frustrating though!

I haven't had much to update at all.

Mae is 9 months old now, finally showing some enthusiasm for food. She has her two bottom teeth and the top two look like they'll make an appearance soon, she doesn't seem to be bothered by them though.

She still doesn't sleep through the night, but that's not a huge issue.

She has finally got the rolling thing figured out, but will only roll if she *really* wants to. She much prefers to be sitting or standing. She thinks standing is funny.

We've started with the "mamama" and "bababa", she loves to chat away to herself.

Hope everyone is well. original.gif

I doubt very much there will ever be a thread #10.
Realistically, I stopped needing parenting advice and opinions on the same 8 years ago.

This is one of the last places I would come to for advice, this group is OK, but the rest of EB can be pretty nasty, but even still, I know what I want to achieve and how I want to do it, so I'm not overly concerned with advice/opinions. I dont know it all, dont claim to, I doubt that I WOULD ever know it all, even if i had a dozen kids. We are always learning.

Hey, its Jessa (EloueraView)

Im on my friends EB and surfing.. and i cant remember my EB password

Cohan is nearly 10 months old - and we are expecting again original.gif Due 24/1/2012 .. so there will be 16 months between the two!

Cruising long, we are really busy at the moment on farm - for those of you who havnt seen www.fleyasholsteins.com is our website

Cohan is going great - sleeps well, travels well (thank heavens, as its 6 ish hours to go up and see friends and family in melb) .. he has his 7th tooth coming thru at the moment, isnt crawling properly yet, but is army crawling. And is around 11 - 11.5kg

Parenting advice on here- agree with Liaden.. absolutely useless on here for parenting advice - everyone is far too judgemental, b**chy and "my view is right and thats the only view" .. I just cruise along and do what feels right..

Dani - enjoy your holiday away!! I LOVED perth.. maybe because it was actually warm compared to where i am from - we swam ! .. was so devine
Freezing nights - have you thought of a nobo? we invested in one after a friend raved around them.. best $350 i EVER spent.. and will spend it again with out a doubt for this baby!
Cohans room is constantly 19 degrees, and i find he sleeps fantastically - when i forget to turn it on, we have a few wake ups in the night.. he wont sleep under blankets, so i need to keep the room warm

Hope everyone else is well, and no doubt keeping busy! I hardly get on here any more.. im not even getting on my VH forum any more either..
We have just finished 12 weeks of calving cows down - now 6 weeks of joining, and then we starting calving again late september, and calve until January.. then AI again.. then baby is due.

I dont know when im going to get a rest LOL

xx

I doubt very much there will ever be a thread #10.

X was born September too, I was considering trying my luck in that group, but I don't have enough time to keep up with the fitness one's i'm in. Realistically, I stopped needing parenting advice and opinions on the same 8 years ago.

...exactly why I don't like eb........ what's with this 'I'm to good to ask advice' kind of attitude. In my opinion you never stop needing advice/opinions, it's impossible to know-it-all though sounding from this you are a 'know-it'all' and have been for 8years rolleyes.gif

Sorry to the other lovely ladies who do like/would like advice etc and must be feeling very 'put-out' by that comment, it seems we have insensitive bodies here ........ huh.gif

Lorelei is doing great, eating heaps and it won't be long until she is walking!! My photography business it TAKING OFF and I'm loving all the newborn cuddles I get!!!

I will try to update more regularly xx

p.s. please don't feel afraid to ask for advice/opinions that IS what this group is for!!!!!!!!

I've had 3 kids spanning 12 years and with each child its been a great learning experiance because every child is different and develops in a different way. There attitude towards food play sleep is always different no matter how many children you have. Im still learning how to deal with my older children. Miss scarlette well ive done evreything different with her BLW , cloth nappies so a huge difference.

my update
Miss scarlette is 10 months old tommorow sad.gif she has taken a few steps here and there i doubt she does it on purpose she just forgets to hang on to the couch table etc and keeps on cruising lol .. She is a full on baby gets into the kitchen drawers cuboards look out when you open the fridge cos she'll hear it and come racing to try climb in. She eats evreything in sight as i sit here shes gnawing on a raw carrott while she waits for dinner. She has 8 teeth with 9 and 10 just starting to come through. Hence the carrott lol .... I havent posted on here since i was pregnant im not trying to be rude its just im plain down right knackered by the time i sit at the computer i play my facebook games heehehe check my online stores for sales have a quick read here but feel its prob too late to spark up a convo again lol We are planning on ttc for number #5 between us .. if only i could decide on what i want a boy or girl .. secretely wishing for one of each lol
