A’s birthday was great – the kids went a bit mad a bowling but fortunately we were the only ones in the whole place (heaps/most of the parents ended up staying too, lots of Dads) I can’t believe he’s 7 :-O We’ve got a meeting today about him going into Year 2 and it’s just too freaky to think we’re getting that far into his schooling career! Sal Congrats on the job, 7 years continuity is great (seems a weird term of contract though, I wonder whay they picked 7?) Oooh, how is the Pokepark game? That’s the one we got A (though I have held it back for Xmas) MJ Glad you loved TB. I’m just bummed cos now that I’ve got to the end of Season 4 I’ll have to wait for the next eps. I think my next target might be “Mad Men”, they’ve been so slow in bringing it to FTA here. I must say that I’m really giving up on FTA TV, so much cr%p and often the ones I’m interested in get chopped and changed around. Far rather buy or download whole seasons and gorge on them I think Glad to hear the party was a success too Bec Wow, crossing my fingers you get some extra days. Even inner Sydney is not nearly as bad as your re-enrolment process We did our re-enrolment a week or 2 ago, just a form to be sent back whenever. I’ve changed 1 of my 2 days for next year from Mon to Tues with no probs – I’m looking forward to having a long weekend every week LM glad you found your password – now to change your sig We haven’t managed to get to SpyKids yet – they always have movies and pizza on the last day of holiday care and A wanted to go then, however the screening time wasn’t right on that day so he saw the Smurfs instead. Ah well, might get him the DVD for Xmas. Jayne Hope things have settled down for you on the school front – how’s Caleb going? Xmas – N is going to get a trike and some Megabloks but he stands to inherit so much from A that there’s really so little that I can think of. A – more Lego no doubt and beyblades. Both boys – books and I’m tossing up a joint iPad, though I don’t know if that’ll be more trouble than its worth! Amazon.uk has free shipping till at least the end of the month, I’m going to whack through a few orders there for pressies (we’re going to NZ for a week mid-Dec so if I get my A into G I’ll get much of my shopping sorted on Amazon and shipped directly there) Bridget – gosh, what’s been up with CJ? Hope she’s feeling better and stays well. How is Miss Nat? All really well with us, life’s got great balance at the moment. Loving my 2 weekday home days, though they’re often busier than my workdays. A is still growing like a week – 134cm when we measured him on his birthday, he’s happy now cos he can have an unlimited pass at Luna Park. N is an absolute delight – spirited and busy but incredibly easy. TBH I’m seeing huge contrasts between him and A, don’t know how much is down to the hearing and sensory stuff (A still has issues in some situations) but it’s a totally different experience this time round. So much lovely interaction between them too helly

Good morning ladies!
Well if no one else is talking, let me bore you with what's been going on with me!
I have watched True Blood Seasons 1 & 2... the whole Marianne thing was a bit weird, but I'm so into the characters that it just seemed natural!!
My (step) FIL finally came home from hospital on Monday. He and my MIL spent 6 weeks in UK visiting relos, they arrived home on a Sunday night, FIL was having problems breathing so they called an ambulance... well that was over 8 weeks ago, and he only got out on Monday... in that 8 weeks FIL has endured being told he has lung cancer (tests came back -ve) has had his heart restarted twice, got pneomonia (sp?), put in isolation for a week because they thought he had TB (tests came back -ve). Lost the ability to walk (as the week in isolation he didn't leave the bed).. Became very depressed (well after all that time it would be hard not to) waited a week for a spare bed in the rehab centre upstairs... made it to rehab and after a week of OT and some interaction with other people made it out of that place. I understand all the precautions and things the medical staff need to do, but heck, his experience has not endeared me to hospitals at all. Anyway, the good news he is home, and getting stronger.
My brother, SIL and 2 beautiful nieces (who I have only met via Skype) are coming over for Christmas for 2 weeks (yay!!).
I have been in the Hot Specials forums and have a full shopping bag for Amazon - there was a good link for Toys that can be sent to Australia, the only problem is when I venture out of this area and add something else to my basket, my postage costs go sky high, so still trying to work out how to find the sellers that don't charge an arm and a leg to send to Oz.
H starts school transition in the next couple of weeks, so that's exciting! C is going great guns too. We had a mini concert on Sunday but the big one is in December, so every weekend we have rehearsals.. very busy. We also did a sausage sizzle at Bunnings for the kinder. The Bunnings we held it at is in a growth area of Vic (H/Xing) and I know Bunnings get busy - but this one was incredibile!! I think we made about $2k for the kinder so well worth while.
Alright - that's if from me for now - YOUR TURN!!
Cheers MJ x

Hi all, A flying visit from me as usual :S Yes Michelle we have a new addition to our family - Bob. He is a 3 month old Border collie cross something LOL We are hoping he doesnt get too big, but he is already the size of our Border Collie cross corgi- Marley. You have probably guessed by now , why we called him Bob Marley is adapting quite well to having Bob around annoying him, but our other dog Bella, a Jack Russell, really cannot stand him. He only has to trot by and she is growling at him, He is not very bright when it comes to doggy socialisation, he doesnt care if Bella growls at him, he thinks its fun and wants to play all the more. Needless to say, so far we havent been able to leave them all alone for very long. Bob packs his bag and goes to work with DH. Apparently he is really good when hes at the workshop, so it seems to be just mixing with other dogs that we need to tackle. He is sooooo cute though. I found him sleeping on the step last night and looked very cute. We had planned to get another dog, as Marley is 12 and Bella 8 and they really arent bothered playing very much with Liam and Owen, so we thought it would be good to find a 3rd. Yes we are crazy!!!LOL There are pics on my blog for anyone who wants to coo at Bob. anyway had planned to write more but its now school pick up. More on my blog if anyones interested and ill try to get back later for personals' Take care sal

Sal wow, 3 dogs – my boys would be in heaven, I’m so getting pestered for pets at the moment (told them we’d have to wait till we move) MJ My credit card’s been getting a huge workout too, I’m about to ban myself, lol. I’ve done so much online this year and am in pretty good shape, only a few things left to get. Only 2 weeks till the end of term and we go to NZ, hopefully everything will arrive in time (4 packages arrived today and my new lappy, woo hoo) Our tree’s going up this weekend too, very unsure about whether Master N will let it stay up! Yup, I think A looks grown-up too – was looking at some photos just 4 months ago and the change is dramatic – our dentist had said their faces really change as they get adult teeth through and that’s been the case for us. I ordered the first size 10-12 t-shirt for him too recently, which just seems insane, but then again the size 10s I’ve recently got have fitted him fine :-O I’ve told N he has to stay small and runty forever Bec Whatever happened in the end with childcare for next year for you? Have you managed to get it sorted? Wow, I can’t believe Q (and Natalie) are already 1, it seems like yesterday you guys were pg! to everyone else In busy mode here, hate the way everything gets so hectic as soon as you hit November. Looking forward to the Xmas break though – we’re going to have a very quiet one at home, can’t wait. The boys are good, N is turning into such a little rascal. He and A are very much co-conspirators now, we’re in trouble

Been ages since I was in here, sorry! Busy with returning to work, kids and me have been sick, now I'm sick again! Mum has been in hospital, now my grandfather is in hospital and we've had Q's 1st biday (OMG yeah 1 already!!) and K's 4th b'day in 3 weeks too!! re daycare. No we didn't get the two days we needed we got offered a Wed & Fri for Q and a Wed afternoon and Fri for K. Needless to say we were not happy! We still have them enrolled there just in case someone else pulls out for that half day that we need to make up a full day, but if not we will have no choice but to leave the centre at the end of the year which will be sad as we have been there since C was a baby. The kids attend another centre now too seeing as we couldn't get any extra days for them this year and so we have them enrolled there for the two days we need for next year so that if we don't get our first preference we still have another back up which looks like the most likely thing that will happen anyway. I'm quite happy with the other centre too so that will be fine if it happens that way. Bec xx
