Question for you below.. but some background first..

When C's 1st tooth fell out I kept it because it was her first tooth, well her 2nd tooth fell out the other day. It didn't feel right throwing it in the bin so I kept it too.. but really what am I going to do with these.. perhaps make a toothy necklace for her 21st??

So.. what do you do with the fallen out teeth?

Cheers
MJ

Sal - how's your mum? I've been thinking of you. It must be difficult not being able to duck around and see for yourself how she's coping.

Hi Michelle,
Funny you should post that about the teeth today biggrin.gif
Owen lost his first tooth today, you may have seen it on FB. We didnt realise he had another tooth behind it,that is almost grown to full maturity. He didnt say anything to us and said that he didnt know it was there!! What the????
Its a long way behind the original tooth so I hope to God that he doesnt have the problems I did.
As far as keeping them, I have kept all of Liams. I have a little tooth box that he was given when he was a baby. I dont really know what we will do with them, but I thought it might be funny to present them to him when he is older, just so he knows that there really isnt a tooth fairy!!!LOL
No I dont really know why we keep things like that. I have kept some of their baby hair too, from when they had their first haircut, we do funny things dont we?

Mum is fine. I spoke to her the other day. She was very groggy because of the pain killers she is on, but says she feels heaps better.
She needs to start eating as she has lost alot of weight after a week of non eating, and she was definately underweight before that. So its a bit worrying, but Dad is caring for her.
They are both in their late 70s so it is a worry when Im so far away and my brother is 4 hours drive away too.
Theres not alot I can do really.
thanks for thinking of me, thats so sweet. I often think of the girls on here when they have things going on in their life. Its so nice to know there is someone even just thinking about you isnt it?

Take care all, and come on over and check in once in a while biggrin.gif

Gee, it is pretty quiet in here! All of us except for A have been sick this week – he was so sweet actually, he’d get me glasses of OJ without asking and cover me up with blankets and just be so helpful and considerate wub.gif Of course he’s now turned feral laughing2.gif

Sal Glad to hear your mother’s on the mend, do you think you will try and bring your trip forward?
Was Owen excited about the tooth fairy? One of A’s teeth was way back too (we called him our little shark!) but it’s moved forward nicely – Dr Google told me it was quite normal and quite a % of new teeth are like that original.gif

MJ Our first tooth was lost, I’ve got the 2nd and 3rd tooth stuck somewhere but now you’ve made me think laughing2.gif I dunno if I want a whole tin of teeth rattling around sick.gif A looks like he’s about to lose his 4th, it’s kind of gross though having turned quite yellow (dentist said that its normal for this to happen before they fall out but still) and I can’t see myself keeping and treasuring it!

Bec Your hol sounds great. We’re hoping to go up that way for the solar eclipse next year – I’ve been to Cairns twice before but not up to the Cape. What Lego set does C want? A has been hankering for the new Space City ones (shhh, I got the launch pad and shuttle ones for 30%+ off and have them hidden away) and loves the Star Wars ones too.

Nothing much new for us here, I’m loving our new groove of 3 days work, though I’ve got to pick up my study pace – have to do an exam by the end of June ohmy.gif

yikes it's more testosterone!!!
Hey girls, typing from my phone. You might have read on FB already that I'm in hospital waiting to have my gallbladder removed after a bout of pancreatitis caused by gallstones. Bored out of my brain! Have been expressing while in here so Q can be bottled fed by DH. Fist time Q has had a bottle and he's taken to it well thankfully. Bit of a hospital waiting game for me as surgery was going to be yesterday and then rescheduled to today and now they ate not sure if they can fit me in so might be going home then coming back in a couple of weeks. PITA waiting around. Won't be able to do any lifting for four weeks after the surgery including Q so that will be a challenge.

Sal glad your mum is doing better, must bd hard to be this far away from her especially at times like this.

Helly, C wants a big Ninjago Lego set. He has some of the people and a small set but wants the most expensive set!

MJ, no idea what we will do with teeth. My mum never kept ours that I know of maybe I'll ask her. C hasn't even had a wobbly tooth yet though he has recently got the first of his adult molars.

Bec, you're in hospital?? heck!! I remember reading you nearly had to call an ambulance the other week, but wasn't online on the weekend to hear about this! Hopefully you're not still in pain (or they have you medicated!) What a hassle all round. I'm sure EB can help you with the boredom factor, although there is probably only so many cloth vs disposals, breast vs bottle debates you can read! Good luck with getting in to your surgery today.

Sal - as for the teeth, we have the same problem, but our dentist said it was normal and they'll just move forward. Good news about your mum.

Helly - what are you studying? Sounds like A has got a great bedside manner! Dr in the making??

As for me, had a weekend away with some girlfriends - we stayed in Melbourne so had great food and great chats.

Talk to you soon

Yep MJ I am indeed in hospital! The incident from a couple of weeks ago when we called the ambulance and it was going to be a 2hr wait was for the same reason! I didn't end up going in then as the pain subsided but this time we called for an ambulance after 7hrs of pain as I stupidly thought the pain would go away like it has previously. Ended up having the surgery yesterday arvo so I'm glad it's all over and done with. Have woken to express some milk to give my boobs a break but I have to tip it all out as it's full of medications. Onto recovery time now, I've been a bit dizzy since waking today but hopefully that will pass and I'll be able to go home later today.

Lucky you to have a girly weekend!!

So quiet in here, is everyone hibernating?? Lots of colds and lurgies around here but we all seem on the up now. A lost his 4th tooth tonight, the Tooth Fairy has done her business (stuck the tooth in an envelope and into the filing bin, contemplating a tooth necklace wink.gif) Can’t believe how cold it is…..

Bec Haven’t been on Facebook in weeks so missed your news. Hope you’re recovering well, glad you got the surgery over and done with rather than having to wait around. Is DH able to be home for the next weeks or how are you managing?

MJ Your weekend away sounds fab. So jealous (all I get is a late pass every Thursday ) I’m doing an IT certification, fairly rare and more of a nice-to-have rather than a must-have, will look good on the resume though.

Sal How’s your mum?

Jayne Sorry to hear that Caleb’s being bullied sad.gif sad.gif What are you going to ask them to do? Is there any way at all you can change schools? It just seems like there’s so many issues with the one you’re at at the moment….

waves.gif to everyone….

10 days and no posts? I feel a right thread-killer...

Tired to the bone, went to a Pump class this morning and then took the boys on a giant ride across the Harbour Bridge this afternoon (too nice a day to not do something special) Caught a train back to Town Hall and all the lifts were not working - I could've cried looking at these huge sets of steps and N asleep in his baby seat on the bike rant.gif Luckily some kind people helped but I know I'm going to have sore muscles tomorrow!
