Lilsquidgy - I live on the border of NSW and VIC but have to use the Vic hospital and they offer breastfeeding classes through the hospital, you just sign up for it like the antenatal classes - hope this helps.

Hey ladies,

I think that is the most accurate list we have - unfortunately so many of those names don't post on EB (or FB) so I can't be sure.

Apart from Quix's twins - I don't believe we've had any other births yet, but boy it's getting close now and they'll be rolling in, can't wait!!!

An update from me - was crusing along not feeling pregnant at all until last Sat when I got swelling in my feet that got worse and worse as the day/night went on. It was DH's 30th bday party so I was up and about and very busy until very late so couldn't put my feet up and unfortunately the swelling has not disappeared at all in the week it's been since it started. It is remarkably better first thing in the morning after I've been asleep all night with my feet on a pillow, but never fully goes away. It gets quite painful in the evenings and is getting me down a little as I can't function as I was so normally before - but given I've only got 4 weeks to go (and have had THE smoothest pregnancy for 34 weeks), I shouldn't complain. I got it checked out though just in case and bp was all good and no protein in my urine so no sign of pre-eclampsia - just the heat and the fact that I've finished work and may be more or less busy which could have brought it on. The midwife that I saw about it is also taking our antenatal class (and is very lovely) and said she suspects it's here to stay till I give birth, so hopefully I can just get used to it. I see my OB on Tue for my 36 week check up, so will mention it to him (he was away last week when I enquired about it) so will see what he has to say.

Apart from this, have had a very busy week with my brother and his gf up for a visit, so flat out entertaining and taking them out and about. Was great - but made the swelling unbearable at times due to the fact we just didn't stop and I couldn't put my feet up at all. I'm definitely feeling pregnant now that's for sure! Feel like I've got a bowling ball stapped to my belly and having to heave that weight up when I'm laying on my side etc is proving to be just a tiny bit difficult. Still sleeping really well without the aid of any pillows or anything but needing to get up during the night to use the loo a bit now (which has only just started after all these weeks!).

Have finished work, so will be cleaning and sorting baby stuff out as much as I can (in between resting to help with my feet) and that's about it!

Hope everyone reading this is well and would love to hear some more updates from as many as possible please!!!

I'm still around. I read this thread a lot but I prefer the privacy on fb. The hospital I have planned to give birth at does breastfeeding classes. I was booked in when I saw my obstetrician for the first time. She booked me in for all my classes. Hope you are all well! We are getting very close!!

Hi Everyone,

Pinkie - I can't believe it's still only Quix's girls original.gif But lots of people in my last DIG faded away after they told people IRL so it's not surprising some have disappeared. Hopefully everyone continues well yyes.gif I had bad bad swelling with DS and it was a matter of drinking heaps of water and getting my feet up whenever possible, be warned - mine got worse the day after he was born before finally going down again - horrible side effect!

BF classes - I am in Vic, I went to one at the hospital and it was rubbish! I ended up hiring a lactation consultant afterwards, there was a really good short film by the ABA that shows more than we got in our class and saves you money and time! It's probably free on the net somewhere but I'm on the phone so can't search.

So cool to hear about nurseries and plans - my clucky nesting instinct is getting into full swing and I could spend hours in baby shops oogling all the lovely things! Actually, I have!!

I am so sorry I'm not being better on personals tonight - I'm in bed on the phone and my memory is really awful, pregnancy plus lack of sleep! I'll be better when I'm back on the real computer Monday. Promise!

AFM - nesting like crazy, DH is trying all sorts of communication regarding baby brothers room, which is useless as I've decided what I'm doing so that's what is happening!! I've had lots of BH and been quite nauseous the last few days - nit sure if it's pregnancy or a bug yet original.gif Next Ob appointment Tuesday and no doubt more drama about how he thinks I should have a c/s and I don't. I hope I don't need to find another Ob at this point - that would be very annoying.

Off to try sleep again (lying down makes me feel really sick) - nice to hear from everyone as we reach the really exciting part of pregnancy - babies!!

Belly rubs to all original.gif
