Pixie, yay for good strong heartbeat original.gif . That's great to hear. Of course we want you to keep ph34r.gif .

Babymurk, hi and welcome. Only thing that I've come across for managing PCOS through lifestyle etc is basically healthy lifestyle, and low GI diet if you're insulin resistant (which not all of us on here are).

Think I'm Ready, let us know how your first scan goes.

Lally, sounds promising. hands.gif that you catch this eggie this time around.

Still waiting, waiting. Either the PCOS has mucked around my system, or the ovarian drilling did something to "reset" my system. Bb's have been somewhat sore for nearly 3 weeks now! But started to get really sore the last few days. Also had (TMI warning) heaps of EWCM starting the weekend, and first couple of days of this week, so we went for it, hey it's enough time since the op for the lining to recover, although no idea which side I'm o'ing; and bb's gotten sorer since. Even the pressure from the water in the shower hurts, let alone simply reaching for something. Think my elbow is starting to scar. I can still see the mark from the canula 3 weeks ago, which is also my good vein for taking blood. It's pretty much my only good vein. One of the few things for which I'm grateful for my fair skin, it makes my veins easy to see.

waves.gif Hopeful, hope all is going well with you.

Awwww, Adso's come looking for cuddles and had to jump up on my lap while I was typing.

Lally Sounds very promising! Good luck with the IUI, I hope it's a big huge lovely success.
Out of interest - is your trigger Pregnyl 5000IU or 10,000IU? I had 5000IU last time, but I think my FS will bump me up since the trigger didn't work last time. Also...do you do Pregnyl booster shots for luteal phase support? I did last time, but my FS might switch me onto pessaries this time - eek, never done those before!
ps. your FS sounds hilarious original.gif

Emm79 If you've got heaps of EWCM, might as well go for it I think!! Fingers crossed.
Is Adso all better now?

AFM - finished provera and AF arrived exactly when expected (oh, how I wish it did this naturally!!). Starting Take 3 of FSH injections tomorrow (33.3IU) with scan on CD9. This is our last FSH+timed BD cycle, moving to IUI next. I am hands.gif that the trigger works this time.

BABY DUST TO ALL!!!!

Emm! Those symptoms sound awesome. Hope you had fun wink.gif . I'm feeling a bit polka-dotty after FS's BT attempts today. Fair skin likes nasty bruises too. The regular blood collection centre nurses tap the same spot in my right arm without fail but FS is a bit of a pioneer and likes exploring new BT territory. hands.gif that things get a wriggle on for you really soon.

Hopeful
. My trigger was 5000iu and I have 3 boosters on 3, 6 & 10 dpiui at 1500iu Pregnyl. Last cycle I took Progynova and also Progesterone pessaries during luteal phase but I don't know what FS wants me to do this time yet. Turned out that last IUI fee was only $660 before medicare rebate so I was happy about that. FS is an absolute crack-up. It really breaks the ice when everyone's a bit shy blush.gif . We'd been seeing him for 4 months and we discovered that FS had actually delivered DH 29 years ago ffear.gif . Good to hear you've got a next time plan. I hope you don't need to use it though cool.gif .

Hi everyone

I havent been around as I was on leave last week after easter.

Think Im Ready & Pixie congratulations so so much on your scan. Seeing that little heartbeat on the screen is the most amazing feeling in the world. Best of luck for the next 8 months.

Lally & Emm I am always a mess after blood tests. The poor collection lady at pathology made a mess of me during my testing month. The day of testing for the Insulin resistance was the worst. The woman doing the first lot of blood two weeks before that had made such a mess and then she had so much trouble getting blood out of me. In the end my arms were black and she showed me exactly where my best vein is and I am to tell the collection people exactly where it is.

Well the provera worked and I had my first actual AF since October last year and it arrived on Easter Sunday. It took 6 days from when I had finished the provera to come and I was starting to think it wouldnt. I started my clomid on CD5 and took my last tablet on CD9 which was Monday. Monday was also the first day of getting high results on my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor so that was good. It means the estrogen part of my cycle has come to the party. I started to feel today like I am not going to O but for about the last two hours I have been getting ovary pains and in all my lurking on FF I discovered that most people who do a CD5-9 course of Clomid seem to O around CD 17 - 19. So I guess I have to wait till at least Tuesday. We have been doing every second day since Sunday so that was CD8.

I was very excited to see my monitor move from low though. I know it works from October when we were using it and we got our positive so I am just putting all my faith in the fact that this clomid is going to work and we will catch it again.

My next step is to have a CD23 blood test on Monday week and then wait for him to contact me to whether I have O'd (which i will already know) and then when to have the blood pregnancy test.

Hope everyone is well.

Welcome back leebec, hope you had a nice break away. Good to hear you're oestrogen levels seem to be going up. I had a trigger shot CD13, and O'd CD15 on clomid days 5-9.

Hopeful, good to hear you're on to your next cycle. Keeping everything crossed that this one works for you. Except the legs of course laughing2.gif .

Hi Lally, not so awesome, pretty standard for a natural cycle. Produce a heap of EWCM, although that has lasted as long as two weeks before, then when that stops, the boobs start getting sorer, start getting nauseous, boobs get really sore (and grow nearly another cup size while they're at it, and no, that's not good) and stops a couple of days after AF arrives. And that's all standard PMS. On the upside, I haven't started getting any nausea yet, hopefully having the endo removed will keep that away, although the boobs were sore for a couple of weeks beforehand. The endo can cause an increase in prostoglandins, which causes the nausea. Also an upside with the clomid, didn't get anywhere near as bad PMS.

One EPS is supposed to be sore boobs, similar to being pre-menstrual, but more so. Man, I hope not in my case, if I get UTD; I won't be able to move!

Have a good weekend original.gif .

hi leebec, great tosee you back. Yay for AF and better e levels. hope the clomid does the trick for you this time.     Emm I'm sorry your symptoms are so difficult to read. I find it easier to ignore everything until FS confirms with BT.  Doesn't make it less frustrating at all though.  Hopeful is your trigger going to change this time? I hope you're growing a nice healthy eggie right now.  AFM 2ww now. IUI went well but O pain has been getting at me pretty bad this morning. Follies are on the same side this time and my whole hip area feels inflamed so it hurts to walk. I'm all cosy back in bed now. will be taking same luteal suppport meds as last cycle. we may not do anything next cycle as fs has annual leave then.

Hi ladies,

How's everyone tracking at the moment????

AFM busy week but the IPS/EPS are just setting in enough for me to need to munch on dry cereal all day at work now. 2nd hCG booster is tomorrow then into the second half of 2ww. I hope it goes faster than this week.

We chatted with FS recently re "other options" and he said it's totally up to us when we want to move on to IVF but because we are still in our 20s, we can afford the time to do a few more IUIs if we want. We will probably do 3 more before moving on to IVF if this cycle doesn't work out too. Still a bit daunting.

I hope you are all well.

Boo to trigger shots imitating EPS Lally. Keeping fingers crossed for this week for you.

waves.gif Hopeful, how's everything going with you this cycle. Where are you up to now?

I've been a bit quiet lately because there really hasn't been anything to tell. Based on what my body was telling me, I was guessing AF should have been due tomorrow or Tuesday. Anyway, I got some eBay cheapie HPT's, and started testing Friday. It gave me a faint second line, didn't believe it being a cheapie, did another, same result, still didn't know whether to believe it. Followed up with a Confirm yesterday, faint second line, and FRER this morning, very definite BFP.gif . Got some more confirms yesterday, and read the instructions (didn't still have them for the test in the cupboard), and they actually say they're sensitive from the day AF is due, and I got a result 2-3 days beforehand. I'm still in a state of disbelief. After this, I managed to fall pregnant naturally, not even any tracking. I was pretty sure I did O on my own, just not very often. The surgery did the trick grin.gif . Hope to see some more in here soon.

Emm Congratulations - that is awesome news! You are my third EB-friend who's got a recent BFP, must be something in the water original.gif

Lally How are you doing?

AFM - not having much luck. Here's a summary of my FSH cycles:
1st: 50IU then dropped to 25IU >> too many follies (4), cancelled
2nd: 25IU then upped to 33.3IU >> 2 follies, triggered with 5000IU pregnyl, trigger didn't work
3rd: 33.3IU >> ovulated spontaneously on CD8, ie before my first scan and when DH was away! My FS confirmed O with a BT for LH levels.

So disappointed. We have our first "iui" appointment at the end of June. Until then, I think we're going to take a break. I need to find some techniques to keep me happy!!

Hi Ladies,

I normally read this thread but have never posted however I recognise someone you from other threads.

Emm79 - congrats, thats fantastic news, hope your first trimester treats you well!

Lally L - I think its important to have a timeline and have discussed with your partner beforehand about how many rounds of iui you will attempt before moving onto ivf. Myself and DH said we will give 3 iui's a go, then move onto ivf. We're currently in the 3rd cycle.

HopefulBaby - a break is always good, seems also that things quite often happen when breaks are taken hands.gif

I have a question if anyone is able to help me with - I am suppose to take Diaformin/Metformin and have been prescribed that for about the last 18 months, however I am not good at taking it continuously as I don't like the side effects. I was under the impression it was to try and regulate my periods but its not something that will actually help me concieve - Does anyone else take this during iui/ivf cycles? Do you think my lack of taking has decreased my chances of conceiving? shrug.gif

Thanks and take care all.
Moo.
