Hi Ladies
Hope everyone had a good a good Christmas and New Years.

Not sure if people are still positing in here but thought I would start again now that we are TTC again. Yesterday I went to my Gyno as I am currently at CD 90 – have been seeing a Chinese Herbalist Acupuncture but that has just increased my cycles rather then decreasing. So Dr has prescribed that I take Provera to bring on AF prior to starting clomid.

The plan of attack is to give Clomid a try for 3 months to see if I ovulate and if nothing then will look at doing the ovarian drilling to see if that helps with ovulation.

We are also getting DH tested as he said if there is an issue then we can not waste time with the clomid should I be ovulating if there is a problem with him. I am feeling like a weight has been taken off of my shoulders as, as funny as it sounds, looking forward to AF so I can start a new cycle

If there is another forum that anyone can recommend if this thread doesn’t get much response it would be appreciated

I am currently CD10 and Dr said I should ovulate around CD14 so hopefully i will O in the couple of days. I have had some lower back pain over the last 2 so not sure if this is the medication re O or possibly something to do with my endo. hands.gif that it has something to do with Ovulation

Hi All,

I'm assuming this thread is still active?

If it is I was diagnosed with PCOS in the middle of last year. Already knew I had endo and was operated on in April 2011 to "start TTC with clean slate". Unfortunately after going of BC in March my periods got closer and closer together until they didn't stop. This meant that my endo became worse than ever and I recieved my diagnosis. So while we have been trying since April, we have been assisted in our TTC journey since August 2011.
Tried clomid twice, no response.

Tried FSH in December, ovulated, well timed sex but a BFN.

Onto FSH cycle #2 but it's not working as yet, up to cycle day 22 but still no follicles growing despite upping my FSH three times. Back to the Dr tomorrow to have yet another US to see if I have any follicles yet. FIngers crossed!!!

wow I didn’t realise this endo does that. Is there anything that they can do to assist – I have some endo but have never experienced anything like that

What is involved in FSH? Is that clomid with injections???

Good luck at the Drs today, hope there are some nice follicles there.

Not much to report atm, currently at CD13 so hands.gif O is any day now

went to the Drs today to get BT results and he said that I did O progest levels were around 42 and you need to be at 30 for O est levels were around 1941. So he said that I defiantly O before the BT, said that I should wait a couple more days before I do a HPT. I went back in and changed FF to show O as CD19 as temps first said which means that I am at CD12 so depending if I am going to have a 14 day or 16 day lutheral phase will depend if when I test. Not holding my breath so if nothing by the weekend will test Sunday.

Beep - I am not sure why you would get CM during the first day of your period, I know i get a little bit at the end but i have never questioned it before. Have you spoken to your Dr?

I am also on clomid at the moment but thinking that we will most likely need to do IVF, but waiting a couple more cycles before Dr takes us down that path.

When my Dr sugested that i use OPKs this month i was a little worried as i had heard that with PCOS that you get faluse readings, however he said that with Clomid that the OPKs will work. How have you found them to be?

Lani - I am not sure about that one either sorry, with my temps i always pick up Ovulation. last time it changed dates so it was after by BT which showed i did O so i just put it back to the first date it said that i O.

With the OPKs are you on meds at the moment? Only because as i said earlier is that i heard that with PCOS that you get faluse readings, but my Dr said that with Clomid that the OPKs will work. My Dr also said that you can have a period without O which i found a little strange.

AFM - I am currently on CD13 and have just started to use the OPKs. Not sure you ladies would know but am i correct in that if i get a second line that is lighter then the control line that it is a negative reading but when the line is the same or darker then the control line that is a positive reading?

Hi guys

New to the site and forums!

My background is 31yo, diagnosed with PCOS last year. Currently on metformin which has recommended periods, but irregular. Current aim is to loose weight as FS doesn't want me to start clomid until I'm at 100 kg mark. Although I class myself as TTC, hubby and I arn't fussed if it doesn't happen straight away, more worried to know that it will be possible original.gif

waves.gif Macbubblz - How are you finding the meltformin? i have heard that some people get some bad side effects with it.

I totally understand what you mean about "worried to know that it will be possible". While i know that i have PCOS it is still some times hard to stay in a positive mind when your body doesn't do what you want it to do.

How soon do you hope to start your first around of clomid?

AFM – i was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 years ago and was put onto clomid and metformin. While taking a break from the meds we were seeing a natropath and got out first BFP. Unfortunately we had a mc and haven't been able to fall pregant agin. in saying that we did take about 12-18 months off all medications as and have only recently started TTC again at the begining of this year. I was seeing a naturopath for about 6 months but just felt stuck. This is my second cycle of clomid on 50mg and i am currently at CD25 and no sign with temps re O. Dr wanted me to do OPK this month but they are giving me positive readings everyday which I think is very very strange but thinking maybe clomid didn’t work this month and that my PCOS are going havic with the tests. I am even getting DH to look to double check the colour of the lines and he is saying that they look positive also. DH is doing his SA on Friday so hopefully when I see the Dr next Tuesday we will know what the next step is

Hope you are well

Hey ladies,

I will just give a quick background on me. I'm 32 and have an 8 year old girl and a 12 month old son. I have PCOS. My periods have not returned since having my son,but we have not been useing any protection as we want to have another baby. I have managed to drop my weight back down to under 100kg and have been put on metforum.

At this stage we are just waiting for my period to start back by its self ( or with the help of the meds) as we are in the process of moving house, planning a wedding, and my partner going back to study ! So we have a lot going on!
I look forward to chatting to you ladies.

Cindy
