hahahahahaha Baroquestar thats too funny. I too am using Baby Bump but I only have the free version and I tend to only read the weekly info not daily as well. Maybe i need to start with awesome quotes like that I have a question for Nannadog and Masmudge, after your amnio did you get any side effects like cramping, spotting etc? Its been 4 days since my amnio and I'm not really experiencing any side effects but everytime I get a little pain or anything I freak out and think its because of the amnio. Am I just being stupid or are you ladies the same? I read somewhere that if you are going to miscarriage from a amnio it is likely to happen in the 3 weeks afterward im just waiting to hit that mark now and stop stressing. I hope everyone has a great Sunday. I'm off to brekkie with my girls. xoxox

morning all
i do find it harder keeping up on here, i tend to go onto facebook, will have to make some me time to catch up each day rather than once every week or so. Im glad to hear that all the Amnio's have gone perfectly, congratulations and welcome to our new members, and i hope that those who are not feeling well get better soon
AFM: things are moving along, I had a bonding scan done yesterday and it was amazing, we have a little girl the guy said she looked perfect for her age, she was a lady and made him work to find her gender but after several goes he said he was 100% she was a girl (and as i thought she was a girl and ive been right with my guess for all my others I believe him), we got lots of pic's and movies, Im going to go back at 30 weeks for another bonding scan ...... I can hardly wait, i book into the hospital on tuesday which im looking forward to then next week i go to the obgyn and will book my morphology scan
3d scan of bub
ETA: I cant figure out how to get pic's off facebook so hopefully the ablum will work bub on facebook
hope everyone keeps safe and well
Kat

Uploaded with ImageShack.usWhen I looked at my son's it clearly is a boy and looks like a turtle.. is all round and protruding and has a willy... Thurgie, After the Amnio, I had No side effects at all. No cramping, no spotting...I had a band aid over where the needle went in...thats the only way I knew it'd been done...
But in my head, I have had side effects out the kazoo!!. Pregnancy discharge is greater than normal, so of course I magnified this after the amnio, convinced I was leaking..I am fortunate to have a doppler so I listened twice a day for a few days, to make sure the heart was still beating, also drank lots of fluid ...just in case...for my own mental case sake..
Just this past week, I had the awful sensation that the baby was going to fall out. I googled Pelvic pressure till the cows came home...of course it's normal, it's just where she's lying...Think she's moved now as the pressure has almost all gone. I was convinced I was going to rupture...
Every twinge, every niggle is driving me nuts. I thought the fears would ease once I had the OK...Still havent had the full results yet...
I have read SO FEW instances of an amnio causing miscarriage, and the hospy told me 24-48 hours and it would be OK. They said the needle site would heal in a couple of hours..
Still, I am not lifting ANYTHING..(great excuse to not do washing, lifting, cleaning, vacuming etc)...
Havent felt movements or kicks yet...but I am pretty fat, and with my first, didnt feel anything until about 22 weeks, so not concerned yet...
Her heart is still beating......
hope this helps! Nanadog!

Thanks nanadog this does help, I thought I was the only 1 still worrying. It's funny you say about the pressure thing cause I'm feeling that at the moment. I've got a appointment with my ob on Wednesday and I'm going to ask for a scan just to show me that our little man is okay. I just want to get to 27 weeks and know that if something did go wrong our boy wld have a chance of survival. Silly I know but I just want to stop worrying. Thanks for your reply it definitely made me feel better. Also congrats to Zacjackclo and Lola_80 on your beautiful little Seriously so far the girls are dominating. Bexstar I think you need to keep a tally of how many and how many and how many surprises we have in our group.

Thanks for that! You've made me feel a bit more reassured! I have spent most of the day looking at ultrasound pics on line to compare.. I have only told a few people in case it backfires.. but the two sonographers were pretty sure. Can you post a pic of your scan just so i can compare? My neighbour bought a beautiful pink dress for me yesterday from pumpkin patch and its been the one i have eyed off for the last two weeks and hadnt bought because I was determined it was ANOTHER boy! I was speechless when she gave me that dress... its pink and green with flowers and its gorgeous!! She is going to have all my boys clothes once I have had another scan just to confirm.. I wont be needing them anymore. I have bought some pumpkin patch clothes and some jump suits already off ebay and I am going to buy my god daughter's clothes off of my best friend as she bought them all brand new and has really looked after them and they havnt been used for any other child. Im hoping to get of the zofran this week. The nausea is abating each day but the afternoons are the worst and I get extremely tired. Finding it hard to look after two active boys and do my tafe assignments. My husband leaves for a deployment in a week too for four months so its going to get hard and I will be a little bit sad that he will miss out on most of the pregnancy. I was in hospital with cramping on Wednesday night. Got off a flight from Brisbane and had suffered cramps from 10am that morning that got worse gradually.. They admitted me to the maternity ward of the local hospital even though that is where I am not delivering.. my ob is 45 mins away from home, so is the private hospital, and I wasnt up to another long car trip. They administered a sub cut in my chest and gave me morphine and endone through the night and I had three bags of fluids as I had been vomiting and dry reaching going into hospital.. they think its my bowl and uterus pressing on nerves causing the pain. felt like ovarian and endo pain. It definately wasnt contraction pain because I went into early labour with DS2 at 24 weeks and that was stopped with nifedapine and I was put onto bed rest. Other than that nothing else is new.. just resting Hope you are all well.

Hope everyone had a lazy lazing relaxing day. I've spent the weekend studying for my Tax exam, sitting on Tuesday; sitting on nails (figuratively speaking.)
Lola_80 you have a lovely neighbour and you'd be a great neighbour to have.
Bex_star that's what my brother use to call his ex. I wish she were my SIL, but she's married now, we were both invited and I think my bro thinks about what could have been. Can you please update my Aug 22 entry - I think we're having a girl. Everyone around me wants a girl for different reasons, DH so that I won't pester him later for one more, but with the MS I think two is enough.
Bubbastar I'm finding the first time labouring thing a bit daunting too, but I'm looking forward to it, trying to get myself prepped for a natural birth/VBAC.Doing pelvic floor exercises gives me the shivers, but I'm starting early because I coughed the other day and nearly had an accident.
Can't remember if I've read it in the past posts here, but is anyone using Epi-No or have used it, if so is it helpful? I'm also very excited my mum is buying me a BJCS stroller for my birthday! (Which is in July, but I'm getting ready early and had to order it in.)

Hi Everyone! Thank god my internet is finally cooperating so that I can post! It's driving me insane - works on my hubby's laptop, but not on mine. We think there must be a problem with my wireless but don't know how to fix it NeishaI too get irrationally angry at my DH for no reason. Poor thing, yesterday he kept asking me why I was so angry and I had no answer for him besides 'get away from me!' - at least I'm in a good mood today. He should thank his lucky stars Bec sorry to hear you have a UTI - I had one fir the first time last year - which incidentally would have coincided with when I fell pregnant - and I didn't know what it was. I ended up having to take a week off work because it was so severe - hopefully yours is one that goes away quickly Cravings for me it changes all the time - like today it was red liquorice. In the end I couldn't hold out any longer and ended up walking across the road to the bowling ally that is there as I knew they sold it - I know, it's sad... Weight Can anyone tell me what amount of weight gain is normal in the first trimester, second trimester and third trimester? I know that overall it shouldn't be more than about 15kgs throughout pregnancy, but I'm worried I've gained too much at this point. I was 67kgs on the 28th of December, and then on Wednesday last week I was 72 - so I've gained like 5kgs ish. I don't know if this amount is normal or not and I don't want to gain too much as not long ago I lost 23kgs and don't want to have to work so hard to lose it all again! Gender I too am one of those not finding out the gender of the baby - much to my DH's disgust. He keeps nagging me about it, which is one of the reasons I get angry at him! Regardless of what the gender ends up being he wants the baby's room to be decorated with Toy Story stickers and have racing cars in it - he may not win that battle either though. Welcome to our newbies. AFM well, for those of you on facebook you already know, but I was admitted to hospital on Friday for investigation of my faintness, shortness of breath and racing heart. It turns out I have something called POTS - postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Basically it means that when I'm standing my heart races and I can have lots of other symptoms, which for me are the shortness of breath and faintness - with me nearly fainting a lot. There is not a lot that can be done about it apart from trying to adapt my life. So when I go back to work on Monday (after 3 days off) I have to try to see if my job can be modified so that I'm at my desk instead of on my feet all the time. Unfortunately if my job can't be modified, I may need to take time off work - which I really don't want to do, as I want to use my leave when the baby is actually here! The obstetric physician that I saw also wanted me to wear a heart monitor for a day just to check what is going on, which I will do next week, as well as get some more bloods done and something called a 24hr urine collection. Warning - TMI approaching - I've completed the 24hr urine collection now, and I have to say it is one of the most disgusting things I've ever had to do in my life! They give you two giant bottles and all of your urine for a 24hr period has to go into these bottles, and there is no easy way of doing this - the end result being that for 24hrs, I had giant jugs of urine sitting next to my toilet and ended up peeing on myself numerous times - super fun! NOT! Well, that's all for me now. As per usual I may not post much but will be to see what's going on. - Erin
