Lol Lauren – yes I’m always busy. I have 2 kids under 3.5 to deal with, plus I work 3 days a week. It can be hectic around our place….lol. I will be glad to take one thing off my plate – work is definitely too much for me atm.
Audree – not good. good luck – hope you’re ok. |

Oh my god Bluey, you sound sooooo much more organised than me! I hadn't even contemplated half the stuff you've thought of!

Just on being terrified of labour, just a thought but perhaps you might like to read up on the 'fear - tension - pain' cycle. The dr who came up with the theory was a Grantley Read or something along those lines. We learnt a lot about it on the weekend, and I can honestly say it was a real eye opener and made a lot of sense. Thanks hun. I googled as soon as I read your post and there is a lot of information on it. I've got some reading to do! I can already tell it's going to help. As for Wednesday, I've been dreading it since I read the weather forcast on Saturday. LOL. |

Oh good, I might take a look myself. It really does make a lot of sense, the whole release of adrenalin pushing blood to the extremities away from the uterus which in turn can slow labour down...I really found it to be an incredible theory and know that it will be something I will use as part of a mantra of sorts when I'm actually in labour to remind me not to be afraid as it's so counterproductive. Of course, it's all well and good in theory, but I think the more you read and think about it, the more it sinks in and the easier it becomes to really use it to your advantage.

Audrey, I hope everything is ok and baby stays put. Take care and keep us updated. xx
Labour, I'm getting a c/s so can't really comment, but when I was pregnant with DS1 it never worried me. The way I see it is whatever happens happens and as long as bubs and I are healthy, that's all that matters. Pinkbug, do you have a video/dvd recorder? Maybe one of the staff could film the delivery (if it's allowed) so even though you're asleep, you still get to see your little one being born. CM, I've been getting this too. Not enough for me to wear panty liners, but occasionally I get a big gush and need to change my knickers. I've also been getting thick clear mucus every now and then when I wipe. Does anyone know if this is part of my mucus plug? It's been happening for the last few weeks. Music, most hospitals have CD players in the birthing suites too if you just want to take a selection of CD's. Mobile swap, count me in too! Eks, your calmbirth class sounds like it was really great. With your positive attitude, I'm sure you'll have a great labour and birth. I'm glad to hear you and DH are going so well. SSP, good job on getting the cot up...it looks fantastic! Tooch, hope you're feeling better soon. Gymjunkie, here's hoping you have another quick delivery ahead. Glad to hear DD could start back at school today and good luck with DS tomorrow. I hope they both have great days. Make the most of the days to yourself...sounds like you could do with the rest. Bluey, I could never express using a breast pump or otherwise, so I'm no help, but I look forward to what the other girls say. AFM, my baby started Prep today and suprisingly there were no tears from either of us. He absolutely loved it and was very happily playing with all the toys. I had to tell him we were leaving and ask for a kiss because he was so busy. Fingers crossed his day was just as much fun and he'll want to go back tomorrow. |
