Hi there,

My partner and I are both 21 yrs old and expecting our first child in May on the 17th (2011) I am booked in to give birth to (him) at the RPA birthing centre with intentions of having a natural birth possibly in the birthing bath.

I have heard that in birthing centres women can be left unattended for some time and I feel I would love another support person to help me achieve my ideal birth.

If you are a student midwife/doula and are looking for a couple please contact me, ideally we are after someone who wouldn't charge as we are both students.

Please contact me via PM.

Alanna & Matthew

Hi,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and would love to hear from any student midwives in the Brisbane area. I'm due in September and will be giving birth at the RBWH. Please PM me if you would like to meet up. I'm not sure how this all works, so I would love to hear from you biggrin.gif

Hi,
I'm due in early June and am interested in having a trainee doula or midwife follow me through he rest of my pregnancy and birth.
I am in Newcastle, NSW and will be delivering at Newcastle Private. I am also looking at having a VBAC.

Not sure if there will be anyone around here doing this though!

Hi waves.gif

I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby, due around the 24th June. I will be giving birth at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick and would love to hear from any trainee doulas (or potentially midwifes) interested in supporting me through the birth.

I have a wonderful DH but unfortunately he is not very good with medical stuff and don't want him to feel pressured to stay in the room if it all gets too much. My mother has passed away and my sister is interstate so having another support person there would be wonderful for both of us.

I am currently under the care of the high risk OB clinic at the hospital (due to history of Ashermans and family diabetes and BP issues) but luckily have a wonderful OB who is very supportive of a "natural" a birth as possible. I will likely be prepped for surgery with canulas etc "just in case" but other than that am hoping to have as low as intervention as possible (I would have loved to have gone Birth Centre but obvisouly can't because of the above)

Looking forward to hearing from anyone interested

A
