I've been following up on everyone's posts so far but I've yet to add my 2 cents worth for some reason.

I just wanted to ask you girls: Is anyone feeling any movements at this stage?

With DS, I thought I felt flutters from around 12 weeks but it wasn't until 18 weeks that I felt a real kick that I couldn't doubt.

This time, I'm feeling tiny flutters again, but because I'm more familiar with what a baby's movements feel like, they seem pretty real. Is it even possible to feel them at this stage? Is anyone else going through the same thing?

Paula as I said in the facebook group I'm so very sorry for your loss. I hope it doesnt take you long to TTC again followed by a very sticky baby. Take care of yourself during this very difficult time. It has hit home just how vulnerable we all still are.

Flutters: I have felt gas like bubbles and muscle twitches in my tummy but I think its just that; gas and that I need to take magnesium already for the twitches! I had terrible cramps last time I really should start taking it now.

Nat the scan can be five days out and they still use the same dates. There are variations, if they clicked just a mm off it can put your dates out. I honestly wouldnt worry unless it continues to go further backwards at each scan. With DS I started scanning 2 weeks ahead, and he was just born a big baby, they sometimes make you worry for no reason!

Mummy P glad everything looks ok, sorry it still looks mono/mono, just think of all the extra scans you'll get though!

AFM: I have been feeling well (as in not pregnant) for 3 days now, and instead of enjoying it Im now worried!! I had ricotta not realizing it was on the list of what we shouldn't eat, so now I'm worried original.gif

I am booked in to go on a program that supports women trying for a VBAC but they cant guarentee me a spot in their hospital until 20 weeks! So as a backup I booked into an OB (the 16th I'd tried to get into from 4 weeks on) and I saw him for the first time this week and he said I'm too high risk to have a natural birth! I had PE last time, a 9 pound baby, and failure to progress. He thinks all these factors makes me not be able to give birth naturally. I dont know whether to believe him. I am worried if I have another c section that I wont be able to lift DS out of the cot or drive for 6 weeks. My c section was so very hard recovering, I know some people breeze through it, but I couldn't wear jeans for 7 months afterwards because it hurt my tummy so much. Im a bit upset as to what to do.

Its 3 am here, I am wide awake and cant sleep! I'm going to pay for it in the morning! Guess I'd better go and count some sheep or something! Hope everyone else is traveling ok.

A fingerknitting child is a happy child.
PJ - just want to encourage you - loads of OBs don't support VBACs, you may have just found one that doesn't. Just because you had PE and you failed to progress last time doesn't mean you will this time, and one c/s does not mean every birth has to be a c/s. If you aren't happy with him, I'd definitely get a second, or even third opinion. I'm not one to go against medical advice, but not every OB is the same original.gif

Fingers crossed you get into the hospital that supports VBACing women. I've never had a c/s myself, but I distinctly remember a lady in my last DIG had exactly your issues with her first birth (big baby, PE, c/s), and her OB told her she was too high risk for a c/s for her second birth so she had a second c/s (despite having no problems in that pg). Her third birth (from our DIG) was a homebirth - VBA2C biggrin.gif She was so happy!

Hope you're all well today, I've been cleaning the house all morning and stirred up the dust, and now I'm sneezing my head off rolleyes.gif Might have to head to the chemist for some Polaramine!

Hi Guys,

We reached 10 weeks yesterday. I booked into our 12 week ultra sound on the 30th of this month, so I hope that everything is ok.

P.J: If I didn't need another c-section this time around I would so try for a VBAC. It seems that same OB are for them and others are against them. But you need to do what you feel is right for you and your child. I was up and walking around the next day and I didn't have any problems, but my cousins partner had a em. one and she took ages to recovery and than she had a elective one and she was up the next day and recovered alot better.

Hope that everyone is doing great. I am off to the shops to get some groceries and I think hire some dvd's are there is nothing on tv.
