I'm bored....

we have another student arriving tomorrow at 4am!(What sort of sh*tty arrival time is that!)...should be making the house nice...should be cleaning, couldn't be stuffed......she's 18 and from Switzerland, staying with us for 6months - hope she's nice! Wondering whether I should bother cleaning too much, she's going to be here 6months so I'm sure I can't keep up the farce of a spotless house the whole time. Perhaps it's better to give it an air of tidiness, but not set the bar too high IYKWIM (getting pretty good at justifying not cleaning hey?).

Strangest thing is our master bedroom has always been the toy room, full of toys (mostly Lego). Now our student will have our old room and we're in the master bedroom. Thing is, the two smaller rooms (hers & the kids) are quite small - no room for anything other than a bed and bookshelf/desk, so all the toys need to stay in the master bedroom as they wont fit in the kids room. Our 'new' room is a bedroom x toyroom, it is interesting waking up to an army of clone troopers staring at you, backed up by a squadron of fighter ships!

OK, really I'm just here rambling crap to avoid cleaning...no new updates on FB, have read all the interesting random threads I can find here, can't be stuffed replying to any of them though....run out of time wasters...hang on...looks to be about lunch time, I might go have lunch original.gif

Oh, who has the b'day list, my brain's too lazy to actually remember who and when blush.gif sorry.

Good luck with the new student Belle. original.gif

Well we just got back from a birthday party. It made me sad sad.gif . First I saw Nate being really mean to some other kids, hitting etc. I reprimanded him and made him say sorry etc. It was very shocking to me to see it though. The party was held in a preschool and I think that's how kids behave at his preschool and he just forgot I was there. He looked so shocked and embarrassed when he saw me running over.

Then they played musical chairs and when he got out he lost the plot, total meltdown and screaming etc. It was so embarrassing. I had to carry him outside (not easy, he is huge) and wait for him to calm down. cry1.gif

I just don't know how he's going to cope with school next year nno.gif . I'm so worried. None of the other kids behaved like that.

A question. This preschool (the local community one) which is apparently awesome but I couldn't get Nate in there last year has recently had some kids leave because their families moved. I am wondering if I should find out if I could get Nate in there for the last term of year. I know it would be two changes of school in a short time frame but:

He knows about 6 kids who go there, three boys from tennis who he gets on really well with and three kids from his current daycare
There is more structure there and more discipline I believe
Its three days a week so a better transition to school than his current two days
It is cheaper even for three days (although only 9-3pm)
Its closer to home, like a 5 minute walk

Now I don't know yet if I can get him in, and also I'd have to sort out Leo's care to ensure I still get a day off which may not be possible......

BUT WHAT WOULD YOU DO??? hands.gif Is it worth changing him or is that likely to stress him out? I had a brief casual chat with him about it and he said he would like to go there although he is worried about leaving his beloved friend A behind....but she will not be going to school with him anyway. I don't know if any kids from the 'new' preschool are going to his school or not. That will be something to find out when I call them.

Kay- I would probably consider the change too. If he is struggling in areas then an extra day of school now would only help I would think. Rather than going from 2 to 5 days a week, 3 to five may be easier.

Belle- How is the student thing going? Im still considering it here. Good tax free money too.

Jac- Thanks <3 Your girls are truly gorgeous and Imogen just melts me to pieces!!!!!!

My girls are currently watching a dvd and hopefull will be in bed within the hour. Boy are they exhausted and crazy this afternoon.
Im onto my 2nd glass of vino.....

Night!

Kay - Given what you have said about the other preschool then yes I would change him as well original.gif

Belle - what a cruddy time! Hope she is nice and helps out around the house wink.gif

sorry not much to report here - kids are driving me mental.. DH is a lazy #$%* but I wont go into that right now..

Hey has any of the NSW girls been to Forster? yay or nay?? I'm looking at booking a week at Sails Apartments in November - I NEED a break! DH likes forster but I'm not so sure I can remember much of it (havent been there in years). I'm not too fussed though - as long as it's near a beach and has nice accommodation I'm happy!

Better go and see why the kids are so quiet! Hope you're all keeping well
