Hi Chloe,

We’re in start of process Egg donor in Valencia Spain. But, I’ve thought the following information may be a help to you:
During our last IVF treatment review, FS informed us that the only way we can have kid is donor egg. The FS also gave us information about how donor egg is in Australia and also name of three clinics in overseas.

One in California: it was expensive for us. But, Spock is right, if you want to have communication and information about donor, then USA is the place. Though, I don’t know whether donors are doing it from heart, or they get pay.

IVI Valencia: IVI in Valencia is famous for research and technology in infertility area. They’re cheaper than California one. We’ve started the communication with them. Our FS will work with IVI FS, through the treatment.
Donor is anonymous. They find a donor with similar physical characteristic as the receiver. We were told that donors receive small compensation for time and etc.

India: We didn’t consider at all.

Besides the above, we’ve researched clinic in Greece and south Africa.
Hope, this help. All the best.

Hi Spoke and Kagome
That was really helpful. Thanks.
We have family in South Africa so that is swaying my decision regarding location - but I'd much rather go where we are going to get the best & ethical result....so I'll talk to my FS and see what she suggests. I'm also googling the rest of your suggestions.

Good luck with the process Kagome. I hope it all works out for you.
Regards
Chloe

We are still waiting on a price for what the agency will charge to find us a suitable donor but should have that once i send our test results through to them....

Hi,

First post but I've been reading and lurking on this site for a while. original.gif

DH and I went to the US for an egg donor and I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant after only 1 try. We chose the US because of the amount of medical, emotional and psychological information that is collected on a donor even down to a brief medical history of siblings and uncles/aunts! We also had a great holiday while over there (99 % of the time we were on holiday).

Thank you original.gif
The clinic we used did not have any donors over the age of 32. Ours was 30 years old.

Hi I have been looking for an egg donor , in australia for a very long time, and quite a few people have offered but changed their mind at the last minute, even going through all the tests, and then ended up unable to be contacted. I have wasted lots of money this way.
I have also been asked for money. I was sick and tired, of being dissapointed, so am going overseas in a few weeks.
Im having my first transfer when I visit.
Its quick, easy, no let downs, and cost is similiar.
I just hope it works ))

Good luck to you

Hi Ruby,

We thought about the effort needed in finding a donor here in Australia and knew it would be emotionally draining, filled with many ifs and buts. So we decided that though it was going to cost us, it was better to save and go overseas.

Hope all goes well with the transfer. Treat the trip as a holiday and not stress out about it which I guess would not be helpful for the transfer.

Hi there. I'm in Perth WA and currently researching overseas egg donation. I've tried IVF for over 10 years with no luck and now just turned 40 so it's time to step it up (not give up!). My fs is not keen on egg donors so I need to find one that is prepared to work with an overseas fertility centre. Can anyone recommend a consultancy or fs in WA? Thanks.
