i had never noticed this group however i sure belong here

I am very obese well over the 100kg mark and into my 17th week of pregnancy after a miscarrage in my first pregnancy. my blood pressure is normal i am a fairly active person i dont pig out on food i just am fat i used to do alot of sport and now i dont and scince then the kgs pile on.

first meeting with my ob was at 6 weeks i have a bicornate uterus so that can cause issues he is also very displeased with my weight i had to have my GTT at 16 weeks due to my high BMI which i passed with flying colours. I suffer from morning sickness from hell and vomit every day still it makes me wonder if its cause i am so big that i am so sick or its just luck. I have failed to gain weight yet this preg and instead seem to be losing at 1 to 2 kg per week.

you can still see a bump forming i joke to my dp that i have 2 bellies and i have already been informed that i will most likely have a C section and that they may have to take the baby early to stopit getting too big.

i will be having ultrasounds 1 ever 4 weeks from 28 weeks to keep a eye on the babys growth.

i wonder if you other expectant mothers have any tips for me ??

The posts here seem very old. Hopefully someone is lurking...

Hi there.

I would like to join. I am 8 weeks pregnant. It is the first pregnancy since the neonatal death of our son 2.5 years ago. I am heavily overweight at 120kg. I have had a lot of morning sickness but not hard enough to induce vomiting. I have already put on 1.5kg.

Anyone in a similar position?

Ohhh, 41 weeks. You must be itching now for the baby to be born.

I carry a lot of weight around my midsection. I am worried about having breathing issues as the baby increases in size. Have you experienced that?

i had the usual shortness of breath in the last trimester mostly as the baby was right under my rib cage and very high but nothing that was particualry unnerving or caused too much distress.

I am very much iching for this baby to be born already i am very over it original.gif

Todays ultrasound showed no heart beat for the Joey. It died within the last day or two. Time to turn notifications off. Good luck with your pregnancies.

Hi everyone,

I just found this thread, I'm currently at 128kg after losing about 20kg before becoming pregnant (surprise!). I haven't really gained anything yet, (lost a kilo here, gained one back, lost again...) and I'm over 20 weeks. I know the weight will be a big obstacle the further I go, but I'm still eating healthier, and cut out a lot of the crap when I was dieting, so that's continued into the pregnancy. My doctor wants me to meet with a nutritionist, but I don't know whether they'll tell me anything different then what I was doing on the lifestyle change diet.

Has anyone else stayed at a pretty constant weight like this? Is it "normal"?

Thanks for any input.

Just wondering if anyone is expecting twins in this thread? I'm currently 13 weeks with twins my 3rd pregnancy I have managed to not put any weight on so far but my dr has told me 10kgs is the max I should put on. Just wondering how others have gone?
