As a reminder, there are specific Nappy Forum Rules (see below) that apply in this forum, in addition to the normal Forum Rules and Code of Conduct.

The 'Name Your Top 3 Nappies' thread can be found here.

Nappy Forum Rules

WAHMs

Can not start threads promoting their own products or sites they sell from.

Are not to start threads to ask a member about goods sent, general business questions or anything else related to business.

Can not place links to their own products for sale on the site or products attached for sale on other sites. Also links to sites that supply their products is also not allowed.

No photos are allowed if the poster is selling the product on another site.

Disagreements or arguments between nappy makers will not be tolerated. And any attempts to post or cause arguments between opposing nappy makers will be removed.

General Rules

Moderator will start a weekly stocking thread named 'Store Stockings date to date' in which users will be allowed to place one post per a store with details of the store doing the stocking, time of stocking and link. This thread is not to be used to have a general chat about the stock being sold.

If wanting to let members know a store has stock in, please use the 'Stocking' thread to save cluttering up the forums.

The nappy forum will continue to have a general chat for users to use to chat about nappies, products on stockings and everyday things.

A monthly 'Fluffy Mail' thread will be started for users each week by the moderator to post photos about their latest fluffy purchases to try and reduce the number of small threads started about their latest purchase.

A thread has been started to show off your hand made creations. Please use this thread for all cloth nappies/dress sets/etc that you have made.

Showing photos of your children in nappies is fine. Mentioning the kind of nappy they are wearing is also fine. Promoting the business of the person that made the nappy is not ok.

Users are allowed to have links to their blogs; the blogs themselves can not have items for sale (as this would be considered a business storefront) however we can not stop or have control over users from having a link from their blog to their business sites not on the blog.

Users are allowed to have their business link in their personal details. You can also apply to have your business added to the business directory for no cost on EB.

Threads about items for sale will be removed. EB has a trading area which you can become a member of once all rules have been reached and agreed to.

When posts are edited or deleted in the a thread users will not always be informed, however a post will be placed in the thread noting that editing and deleting has occurred to some posts.

Users who threads are removed will be sent a PM about why their thread was removed by the moderator who has done the deletion.

Threads are to be for information of using cloth, and support, only. Threads are not to be for promotion of any particular kind of nappy, eg. I only buy from Freckles Nappies and think if you buy anywhere else you're stupid.

Users are allowed to state where they have purchased products from as long as they do not benefit in financial or material way. If the store owner is a personal friend then you are not permitted to state the store or place links to it.

Sites offering nappies for sale may not be posted for the sole purpose of promotion, and may not be posted as a deliberate promotion by anyone also affiliated with such sites.

Reviews of good and bad are allowed. However personal attacks about products, sellers or the makers will be removed or edited.

Complaints about missing mail/stock not arriving/stock in poor quality are asked to please refer to the store owner first before asking or reviewing on EB. If it is seen to be a personal attack and not a geniune query it may be removed or edited.

Any photos of products that have been made by users that are found to be for sale on other sites or EBay will be removed.

General chit chat not about nappies is to be limited to the chat thread started to limit the amount of non nappy threads. Check out the MCN Anonymous thread.

Using the threads to communicate about receiving their nappies/goods from another user is not allowed and will be deleted. Please keep this communication on the PM system.

If you have a specific question for a nappy maker, that you know is an EB member, don't use the forums to ask it. Contact the person through their own site. If a question gets posted by someone that isn't aware the maker is an EBer, the maker may, at the moderators' discretion, reply to the question, but only without product promotion.

Again, if you know that a nappy maker is an Essential Baby member, please don't use the forums to thank them for a parcel arriving safely. Please use personal email or again, the nappy makers own site to correspond.

Using business names - be that home based or commercial entity - as user names or Custom Member Titles is also not allowed. This is stipulated in the site guidelines.

This forum is not just for the use of cloth using members, but also for the use of those that choose to use disposables. Please remember this when answering their threads and not to put them down for their choice or question.

Links to other nappy forums or any forums is not allowed under the site guidelines and will be removed. This also includes personal forums made.

Please do not start a thread asking for someone to make you a product, if you require something custom made there is a thread at the top of the forum with WAHM stores who are happy to make customs.

Members are not to promote, link or discuss any sites (profit or not for profit) in which they have a vested interest or may profit from.

Moderators and Admin from time to time my use their discretion on nappy topics to edit or delete posts and threads when no exact rule exists. Again a note will be made when this happens.

Members are not to post that they have certain items for sale in the Trading Room. This constitutes trading outside the TR, for which you can be awarded a strike. If you receive 3 strikes you will be banned from trading on EB. See TR rules here. This also falls under the 'no posting for personal gain' rule in the EB Forum Rules.

The moderators of this forum and Admin of EB have no affiliation with any nappy makers or brands.

These rules can be updated at any time with new rules as situations occur that can not be foreseen at this time.

Thank You
