When I'm at the supermarket and lining up at a register, I have a tendency to look in other people's trolleys - you know, to see what they've bought, if it's obviously a 'weekly shop' draw an assumption on their eating habits etc.

Today I was doing just this, the girls trolley was full of rubbish - Coco Pops, ready made snacks, frozen goods etc. Her weight would be verging on obese and I couldn't help but wonder the difference healthy food would make to her health. I also saw she had ingredients for chocolate ripple cake, I nearly followed her home.

Does anyone else do this?

Yes. And usually come to the same conclusions as you especially when both mother and children are of the same rotund shape.

Yes all the time, I'm very judgemental but I'm trying to keep it to myself because my teenager pointed out how much I was.

The packets of chips and Diet Coke always kill me.

Then you get the lonely widowers who have a ton of instant meals and sausages.

Oh my god all the time! Hate myself for being so judgemental but I am always comparing my trolley to other peoples.

The other week DH was going camping and then I bought snacks to take on the plane on our holiday and I was cringing at my own trolley lol!

Say what you mean and say it mean
I'm too worried about people looking in my trolley to look in theirs.

well, I imagine you are going to get a whole buch of crap for this thread, people carrying on about not being judgemental and all that jazz...that just means that YES, they do it too.

I do, and I try to guess what people are making. I have sometimes asked people what they are making based on a few items being purchased. If I was a check out chick, Id be asking EVERYONE.

I do notice when there are a lot of soft drinks in a trolley, maybe coz they take up so much room and can't be missed. I must admit too, they are often attached to a big person. I can tell the difference between a soft drink shop for a party and a regular shop.

To add, I also get a bit embarressed if my trolley has a bit too much junk in it.(like when I am pre menstrual)

My snarking is a medical condition.
I honestly don't notice. I don't read the magazines, I don't look into trolleys, I don't see whose children are misbehaving. I either talk to Siobhan or think my thinks.

If it rocks your boat, feel free to have a rummage in my trolley. I don't care what you have in yours and I don't care what you think about mine!

Ok, now we have the EB special of saying if you deny doing something it is just confirmation you do that thing. All we need is a comment on perfect shoppers and someone saying that they only judge your trolley because they are jealous of your ability to fund all that chocolate and I can call BINGO!
