I wish, the buggers fly in through my down lights and love cupboard hinges, they can get into just about any tiny space so no a cupboard door isn't going to stop them

lol had to reply to this one. Seeing I found a cockroach running around in my dishwasher yesterday arvo (AFTER it had been run that morning!), my answer is no! I always thought dishwashers were sealed but obviously only when 'on' so the water doesn't leak!

she liked to hangout in the graveyard
Erm, no. I keep my cupboard doors closed except when using them and we still get roaches (just a part of living in Sydney unfortunately).

Although...come to think of it I've never actually found one in a cupboard

Only if a nuclear explosion is going off. And even then ... ohmy.gif Oh no, there's another one!

One of the joys of leaving Sydney was leaving the cockroaches behind. No amount of cleaning, poisoning etc ever got rid of them for any length of time.

Train your dog, it's worth it!
jfl,

I count that as one of my joys too - as an ex- inner-city dweller, I do NOT miss the roaches that were bigger than the sparrows.... rolleyes.gif

And no, doors don't keep out bugs - they're there to look pretty and neat. I have been known to use surface spray on the edges, however - to deal with the ants.

I laughed so much, she's devastated at the thought that the little critters could get in through the cracks or from behind the cupboard, etc.
