or is it a "real" name

I know a 'chip' but his real name is Stuart. I think he got the nick because he is always so upbeat and 'chipper'.

lol I heard it on friends he was Rachel's boyfriend who took her to the prom and I couldn't make a real name connection.

There was a character in the hilarious children's novel "I Wanna Go Home" by Gordan Korman but I have no idea what his real name was. Charles is my best bet.
