I breastfed for 5 years, 4 months and 5 days!
Ok, so it's really no surprise that our children look like us, if they are genetically related to us. Does your partner look like you though?

I was reading about evolutionary psychology and apparently we tend to reproduce with people who are roughly as attractive as we are. Of course there are exceptions to this rule where one partner may have other assets - I'm thinking Anna Nicole Smith.

If I look at it objectively, I think A and I fit into the first category. What about you and your spouse?

I reckon that my DH is probably about the same as me but as we get older, he's losing it!!

I've got the stay young genes and he's got the age very quickly genes! He's 5 years younger than me but the gap of ages is beginning to tighten!

Creating one final masterpiece.....
I actually think it works the opposite way - there usually seems to be one attractive half of a couple, and one not-so-attractive. I do think, however, that we are attracted to people with simialr features to ourselves and/or our parents.

For us, personally - my husband is waaaaaaay more attractive than I am. I have a long face like a horse which, blessedly, none of our children seemed to inherit! He, on the other hand, is a spunk! wink.gif

We look nothing alike, I'm blonde hair and blue eyes and he is dark hair, big brown eyes and darker olive skin. And on the attractiveness scale I've always thought my DH is better looking then me- but i guess like most women i am a little critical of myself when i look in the mirror.

On the other hand my friend and her DH look so alike people sometimes mistake them for brother and sister.

When we were younger, I was probably the better looking one (didn't think so at the time though!). Nowadays, with post-baby (Cadbury's) fat and all, DH is definitely the better looking one. I suspect strangers would wonder what he was doing with me. shrug.gif
