In that other shoe thread I saw many posters say that they wouldn't wear the heels in question because they couldn't walk in them.

I simply won't wear a skirt to work without heels, even if they're really low heels, as I think it looks strange.

A suit (with skirt), in particular, I find looks just bizarre with flats.

I would also never wear a formal dress without heels either, for the same reason.

Is it just me?

PS - just bear in mind I'm talking smart / dressy work clothes - not a casual skirt and top, that's different.

Is working fulltime outside the home and inside the home!
I love wearing heels and would never wear flats in the circumstances you described.

But then again, I am under 5 foot, so any height I can get - I'll take tongue.gif

Totally agree, only ever heels for described situations.
I cant do dressy and flats, just seems wrong and suits and flats i always assume their just in comfy walking shoes but change them for work. I used to use trains and walking to get to work and always wore sneakers and changed them just before i walked in the door!!
I do love my thongs though wub.gif and own about 20 pairs in varying colors and styles that i wear with jeans, casual skirts etc.

I wear heels everyday for work. The heels I have on at the moment are 9cm, this for me is a comfortable height that I find easy to wear all day.

Wearing flats actually feels strange.

LOL, when I started working in the city and taking the train in I vowed I would not turn into one of those women, who wore sneakers with suits...

2 weeks later I neatly avoided the issue by becoming one of those women who wore THONGS with suits while commuting and changed in my office, ROFL!! At one point I think I had 6 different pairs of heels residing in my desk drawer!!

Nope, don't wear heals at all.

I don't think it looks odd at all...

Not just you. I also think flats look odd with skirt suits and formal wear. The outfit just does not look finished off.

I wear and own so many heels that my family reckon I could climb Mt Everest in them. yyes.gif

I too don't like the look of flat shoes with a business suit or a dressy dress.

I agree with you.

I think heels are almost a must with some skirts and/or dresses but in saying that i'm not talking about casual skirts because I also wear sandals with skirts or dresses but when it comes to tailored skirts or a more formal dress then definitely heels all the way.

I love my heels wub.gif If only I actually went out at night to wear them all, ahhh those were the days.
